Happy Release Day!

I guess I am a bit late so sorry about that I was waiting on my camera to charge last night and I fell asleep then I had to get up and go into work this morning for some overtime training/meeting so I just got back and got my pics so I do apologize if I threw off the schedule a little but here we go...

What a great team I have and what fun creations they made!

and I was so glad I got to have time to play along again this time

here are some that I was able to do

up first we have Frankenstein I have to admit I am not very good at masculine cards they always look so plain to me but I love the great halloween papers and supplies out there this year! I used a combination of items from DCWV Ghosts and Gobblins matstack, Recollections Midnight Magic 12x12 stack, and martha stewart crafts Halloween adhesive boarders and of course some black stampin up cardstock and my marth stewart drippy goo punch

And next this one was fun and simple... a Coffin shaped treat box with none other than our new SSD dracula!

This I used the coffin die cut from the recollections midnight magic die cut stack, some black ribbon and a sticker from DCWV immortal love scrapbook kit in a stack set. the sticker on top is a little hard to read but it says "irresistible"

and I wanted to give you a few shots to see the dimension of the treat box

(Thanks for all the compliments on this so far today there have been a few to ask how I did it I used the DCWV Ghosts and Goblins mat stack (because the prints are smaller and it runs through the printer easier) I printed my image and colored her on regular white card stock and then I cut and paper pieced the dress pieces and hairband from the copy I printed on the mat stack paper )

it's release day at SSD again! I haven't personally posted on my blog in forever!

I had started a new job with very stinky hours (10-7) so there hasn't been time for me to get anything done and my weekends have been jam packed with all sorts of engagements ...not to mention my parents property was broken into ransacked..they stole tons of expensive tools as well as appliances out of his travel trailer...and my dog!!! yes they stole my new pit bull!!! we did end up getting her back..she got loose and ran right back home! thank goodness... that all happened just last weekend... and We are finally getting a house! the 1st one we were working on since dec fell through and we started working on another and we are due to close mid august! what a wonderful birthday gift that will be!

SO why the un-birthday theme...well because august 11th is my birthday, and so we decided we would do an un-birthday party today! also we just released our 1st ever digi papers!!! yay and they were alice in wonderland themed! and we have a birthday themed honey in the store too!!!

1st card here features the Rapunzel Honey! isn't she fabulous! oh my goodness does she have a lot of hair! I thought it was bad having to draw it all but coloring it too oh boy! but she is gorgeous!

next I did a card featuring the Cinderella Honey

and I did color a Belle Honey and a Goldilocks Honey but didn't have time to actually make cards with them but wanted to show them off anyways

SO I haven't had much time to craft its been hectic around here. Hubby and I have been very involved with the church youth group events lately with easter and confirmations right around the corner and all, and i got sick...again!!!!! I swear I can not catch a break! lol things keep happening lol and then packing and cleaning still hoping we'll get a closing date on our house soon! and just so much happening, but I wanted to share a lil of my current endeavor!

So I don't know if I ever mentioned my cousin Ashley, but Ashley has had some troubles in her life, she was diagnosed with ALL (leukemia) when she was 16 months old and went through bone marrow transplants and Chemo etc an dit was a long and bumpy road and this last december she celebrated her 5th "2nd Birthday" which meant she was officially "cured" it was a wonderful occasion of course! but due to the treatments she went through she had to have cataract surgery on both her eyes, she now wears bifocal glasses and has hearing aids and has speech issues (some of which could be because of her tracheotomy) so just a lil while back she got switched to a new school that has an extensive special education program where she is now learning sign language! and the improvements I have seen in these past weeks are HUGE! she is doing amazingly!

SO Chris and I always thought about learning sign language and using it when we have babies teaching them to sign so we decided this was the perfect time to make it happen, so we are! its been quite fun too so I just wanted to take a minute to share, and I hope maybe Ill get to craft soon (probably not this week because I am going to catholic youth conference in anaheim thurs fri sat and sun but we will see maybe ill have a lil time tomorrow!?!?

Oh Alice I must be crazy!

Ok SO I know I am not the only one out there that is SUPER excited about the new Alice in Wonderland Film coming out in March How do I know this... A whole new Challenge group started all inspired by Alice in wonderland!!!! The Group is called Oh Alice... their premier Challenge was an inspiration challenge, Alice gets Glam inspiration challenge inspired by this fab makeup set by urban decay!

Well I must be MAD as a Hatter because I went crazy with this one! I not only was inspired by the compact I decided to do something I have never done before for the Anyone for Anya challenge group as well.... I made a pop up scene just like the make up box!!! Oh my goodness I must have been nuts!!! not only did I do a pop up which I had never done before, I used my brand new pink cricut expression!!! I used my tinkerbell cart for the 1st time ever!!! and the whole time I have had my wonderland TGF stamp set I still to this day have never made anything with it, so there were many upon many a firsts in this project!!! and to go with the oh alice challenge there is a lot of bling and glam!

so wanna see my insanity!?!?1 ok lets get started just scroll down...

the drawer fits A2 sized cards and envelopes but because of how intense this was to do I have not had time to create cards to go in it but that is the intent of this, not a makeup gift set, but a card gift set!

The ribbons can be tucked away inside the drawer when on display even the back one because it goes through an eyelet in the back so it can disappear and make a great display piece

when you open it you see my interpretation of a mirror with silver glitter card stock and then a clear cello layer with black polka dots popped off of it and topped with a frame, the butterfly's well they are there because the caterpillar did turn into a butterfly right?!?! plus she is in a garden of sorts

the next layer to pop up are these fab flowers, these were difficult because they not only had to fold down but also in as not to be seen when the lid is closed

then pops up some bushes that match the trees in grey tones...very Tim Burton, and of course the mad hatter pops up as well

then Alice the mushrooms and the white rabbit can all come up!

and yep the white rabbit is blinged out too

oh if you noticed some of the 1st pics have the rabbit back further yep...I didn't like it there so I moved him forward you se eteh final position in these last few pics!

I didn't have guava but I found some similar card stocks, and well I don't have many...well any accept on western sentiments but the one I had thought was so stinkin' cute especially for a pin up style image!

My 1st Anya Ink Challenge

I have never participated in the Anya Ink Challenges but have wanted to for a while SO I finally did! I used my new Anya stamps! I love love love these pin up images! I am a huge pin up girl! love em! And over at Anya Ink the challenge is a color challenge using blue grey and cream! I had just the paper for it! My Creative memories wishes and dreams papers!!! all I did was tame my cream prismacolor parker to color in the white and make it cream. I used the wishes and dreams star punch, and the wishes and dream card kit for the pop out die cuts and the sentiment on the 1st card

on this card I used the same supplies and marker on the paper, but I used a verve stamp for the sentiment

Catching up on a few things

...again! lol well it has been an interesting beginning of a new year!

from getting sick, starting a new part time job, SSD has been booming! and getting bit by a stray dog and loosing the sue of my right hand for 2 weeks

I haven't had a lot of time to craft but I have squeezed in a few small projects lately so I had a few mins so I thought Id spend them catching ya'all up on what I have been up to.

So in Jan my sister asked me for 3 baby shower cards for a group baby shower at her work, She needed a card for a mommy with a boy, a daddy having a girl and a daddy having a boy, so I made this 1st one for the mommy who was having a boy these cards were made dull size so the whole team could sign them

this next one was made for a daddy having a lil girl

and this one for the daddy having the boy

I created this card using one of the SSD image I created, I did this card for v-day and for the release which was Feb 1st ( a bit behind schedule like I said)

Also during CHA The Greeting Farm was having a relay contest and I was playing along. this was the 1st image they gave away, Merian I was super excited about this one! I think it turned out ok

This was teh 2nd image in the relay since v-day was around the corner and I had just gotten this new paper I had to use pink and chocolate!

We also had a Pink red and white challenge over at SSD a few weeks ago and I wanted to play along so I did a quick card using th eoff with your head image we had just released over at SSD

This was the 3rd image in the TGF relay, I have to admit I am not a fan of the critter crew images over there, I am partial to the anya and ians but i think this turned out pretty good? I wanted to make it baby but funky so I used my SU rockabilly papers...love them!

and just before V-day I did a few more cards featuring some TGF images, this one I used dressy Edward and Joyce, and to go with a twighlight inspired idea...the sent says forever

And I had bought flutter Anya so long ago and never used her, and this turned out soooo nice! It's hard to see but there is a lot of wonderful layering on her.

It's a Club Anya Holiday Blog Hop!

So I LOVE The Greeting Farm! and especially Club Anya because Anya and Ian are my favs! especially Miss Anya and My Guy Ians!!! and I am soooooooooooooo excited for tonight! and the release scheduled for tomorrow! As I am sure many of you are who are stopping in on my blog today he hee he... SO I havent had a lot of time to craft lately but I have made sure when I did I was saving up projects for tonight!!! there were more I wanted to do but sadly didnt get to finish =( But it's ok I'll show you what I have for now!

So for starters... I am a part of a cookie exchange with some of my family and freinds this year though I have not baked my cookies yet (want them to be fresh) I did want to make cards to go with each tray. There are 12 of us participating this year so I needed 12 cards... about a week ago or so on the CA blog someone showed us how she colored her images and photocopied them to make things faster....well I combined 2 TGF digis (I cropped out the gift from the birthday ian one and placed it on the Odette image) I then colored it all in Photoshop and printed out 12 copies at the size I needed! I was so excited because it went sooooooo much fast being able to print them instead of coloring 12 of each (of course I prefer to color when I have the time to do so but since I didnt it was a great alternative!)

the card is created with a combination of TGF papers and SU papers, and the sentiment was by SU as well and the flowers were primas

Here are all 12 cards lined up together.... I didnt finish the insides yet but they will each include a recipe card inside for the cookies I am making

So next up.... I love the xmas sweeties set from TGF love love love them!!!! I am trying to make all my christmas cards with them.....for starters I am trying to make them all different but as it seems I might be running out of time I might be resulting to the photocopy option he hee but for now ....here are a few I have done so far

So teh last project I have to show off for now I did just for today!!!

Now before I show you, I want o give credit where credit is due.... Joni Did a whole series of these fabulous magazine houses and totally inspired me to do some of my own. I had a few left in my stash to play with, but I am a fairy tale kinda girl and did wizard of oz, peter pan and little red riding hood, and well I'm still waiting for further tgf fairytale images so I hadnt done any more houses =( since the 1st 3...well I decided I could do a special one just for christmas (hubby likes to have magazines in the bathroom ....wierd to me....but since thats where he likes to keep them I figured I could make seasonal ones to keep them in and hide them that will decorate teh guest bathroom as well ... when I started I thought of Gingerbread house but well as it progressed it is just a christmasy kinda house but I still love it!

So anyways like I said I wanted to give credit where it was due....this project was inspired by Joni's orginal idea but I made it my own

So we have lil santa Ian popping out teh Chimney and his sleigh waiting on the roof for him with many more houses to visit..... As Santa Ian was placing the presents under the Tree Mrs Claus Anya was ouside giving teh outside a lil something special as well!

Yes this house is in a Christmas candycane forest lol

yep those are lil lights dangling under the ice crystals and peppermint candies hanging from the bow

more peppermint candies and candycanes adorn the house along with the lights and a wreath hangs on the front door

and yep Mrs Clau Anya is all Fabulous in her Bling!

SO I don't think I mentioned it last post but last weekend I was out of town. I went with my church's confirmation program to chaperone and lead groups etc it was so much fun! (I love workin gwith the youth! and my hubby was part of it too and that makes it 100 times better when the one you love supports you and does this things with you!) we were in the mountains and there had been snow before we got there and it was beautiful!!! ICY lol everyone was slipping a lot, but when it came time for free time and they got to sled it was wonderful. Chris and I got to a group together and we had a small group of 4 young men and I couldnt have asked for a better group! I mean for teenaged boys that is lol they were kinda quiet in the beging but grew and opened up as we went along and though they tried to fight some rules from tim eto time overall they were a great group of boys they were just trying to be "cool" ya know how that is lol so anyways last weekend was wonderful!!!

This week has been total chaos!!! lol trying to unpack and do laundry etc from the trip....starting to pack (we are finally buying a house!!!! and hoping it to close mid jan!!!!) so since the holidays make it hard to have time to pack and move I figured I better start early! lol so I am trying to start packing things we dont need this next month like the crystal and china and book shelves etc.... also I am painting glasses for a friend for her bridesmaids gifts I need to complete by jan...I am doing 2 custom shadow boxes I was comissioned to do that I want to have done before christmas....I was just asked to sew 6-8 costumes for the church for thier philipino group my friend who is getting married her mom needs her mother of teh bride dress hemmed and her sister needs her briedsmaids dress hemmed and a lining added....I have a family and friend cookie exchange i have to start baking for next week lol ....and last weekend I was asked to do some cuts on my cricut for this weekends retreat so i have to cut out 75 suns!!! seems simple enough but its 4 layers of piecing!!!! times by 75!!! and 2 of the pieces only fit 1 per sheet and the others only fit 2 per sheet so it takes forever!!!! I literally sat all day today just cutting and gluing suns and writing all the kids names on them and I still have about 20 more to finish cutting and gluing etc lol I must be a glutin for punishment lol....and on top of all this I am trying to make my christmas cards....plus a diff set of cards for my cookie exchange, plus change of address/moving cards for jan when we move so all our family and friends will know our new addy etc goodness goodness goodness!!! lol

but I think it will be ok, I think thrive on chaos lol

So I am hoping that with all that is going on I can try to squeeze in here and do a post from time to time because well that is a lot of creative work and so I hope to show some of it off to you all. so I thought I would start with a few cards I did a week or so ago and never got to take pics of ...also on mon the 14th I am playing in the TGF blog hop, so I will have bunches of TGF goodies to show off then!

but for now I still have lots of great stuff to show off...

when I saw this image at All that Scraps I had to have it!!!

I also go tthis one from all that scraps...these were both digi images and I love them! with this one I thought it was way too cute so I made an ornament with it it is double sided the same on both sides, and I will probably attach to a gift for someone this year or something but for now it is hanging out on my tree lol

So I decided to save any christmas projects I am doing using TGF images until the 14th, however I thought I could show off the other TGF projects I have been doing.... SO I bought teh dressy miss anya set teh day it came out lol but hardly got to play with it so I had colored this beauty and she just sat and sat waiting to be placed on a beautiful card so I went through my paper stash and found this perfect CTMH paper that matched her coloring exactly! so yay I finally made her a card!!!

This too was colored a while back and just sat ( sometimes when I am stressed or bored I like to color images and well sometimes I forget to do anything further with them)...this one I was so happy with I used colored pencil and odorless mineral spirits and I think it turned out pretty good it was one of the 1st I did using that technique the papers are CTMH and SU as well as the sticket accents

Now if you know me at all you know I bough tthese 2 the day they came out as well lol I love the miss anyas and my guy ians!!! they have to be my favs for sure!!! ok this one is winter but i made it over a week ago and HAD to show you he hee it is simple but I really love it! the ribbon is my fav! I love chocolate brown! and olive greens too!

ok I guess that is it for now! I will have more soon I promise though.... I altered some card display boxes and just have a few finishing touches and Ill post pics of those then as well so keep an eye out over the next few days to a week or so lots coming up!

Wow I haven't posted in forever!!!

I didn't mean to be away for so long but things got crazy I had craft fairs and boutique's to prep for and attend and the holidays and Managing SSD etc so My personal stuff kinda got put on the back burner a little bit...Doesn;t mean I hadn;t been doing any crafting though So I think today I will keep the writting to a minimum and just post a ton of pics! I have some more projects too that have yet to be photographed and I hope to do that and get them up soon but I thought I should stop by and show you all what I have been up to

I did this card for a Friend of the Hubby's (he rides the train with her everyday and well her hubby passed away)

and I finally bought some new stamps from Stamping Bella!!! and had to do some thank you cards!

I finally got to play with the show time set I had from TGF it sat there untouched for so long!

Whiskey Week!

I am a big Jack Daniels Girl! my momma is a Big Jack Daniels Girl I mean we are whiskey lovin family lol. I know it may seem odd but I can do jack straight up in shot glasses or in my fave ever whiskey sours etc...so in honnor of my momma who had surgery this week on her toe lol i know silly reason lol but it has inspired me to do a week of Jack Daniels! ...well that and the fact I am almost out and I wanna go but a new bottle! lol I hate having almost empty bottles in my stash he hee

Day 11

Jack Daniels Lynchburg Lemonade

1 part Jack Daniels

1 part sweet and sour mix

1 part triple sec

4 parts sprite soda

pour over ice a stir do not shake. garnish with lemon slices and cherry's!

I love this! It has the components of one of my fav drinks ever...a jack 'n sours he hee (whiskey sours) but with a refreshing twist with the lemon lime soda, and teh triple sec has that citrus note to it as well that smooths thing sout as well

My momma's frozen lynchburg lemonade!

1 part Jack Daniels

1 part tripple sec

2 parts sweet and sour mix

....mix in a large tupperware container and stick in the freezer! it is better to stir every once in a while it makes it more slushy like and not too icey but i dont mean like every five minutes i mean every hour or so until its ready once it is slushy and semifrozen it is perfect! scoop into a glass and enjoy with a spoon...and dont forget to garnish with that bright red cherry!

Whiskey Sour ( well I did mention it was one of my all time favs earlier so I of course had to make one!)

1 1/2 oz Jack Daniels

2 oz sweet and sour mix

serve in an old fashioned glass with ice, garnish with a lemon slice and cherry...to make a little sweeter and prettier take about a table spoon of the cherry juice and carefully pour across the top i love when colors blend so pretty! and this drink is simple but perfect!

Drink of the Day 9/16/09

Day 6

Kamakazee Shots

2 oz vodka ( I like absolute in these but the sky is pretty good as well but I hate the smirnoff, you can use others like grey goose or your fav this is just my opinion)

2 oz tripple sec

1 oz lime juice (I prefer fress limes, if you do as well use just 1 lime dont worry about measurements)

add ingredients into shaker full of ice, shake well and then strain into shot glasses these measurements should give you 2-4 shot glasses worth (depending on size or shape of your glasses)

I love these shots! these were teh 1st shots I have ever had and they were sooo yummy and smooth! they should be slightly tart but not too tart and well with lime juices some brands vary in tartness bottle to bottle sometimes depending on the harvests or even the real fruits which stinks because every once in a while it will end up more tart than I liek it like I said its ok to have a little tart but it should be smooth so I always suggest take a little taste when you make your 1st batch and make sure it is too your liking if it is a little to tart or bitter add a dash more vodka and tripple sec until you are happy with it but make a mental note to yourself as to the changes. if you feel it doesnt have enough lime flavor then add a dash more until you are happy with the mixture. More often than not these measurements will be perfect however from time to time I get a batch that is more bitter than I would like and I just add a dash more the alcohols to it and it always seems to work out great!

Day 7

German Chocolate Cake Shots

1st take a lemon give it a little roll to release the juices and cut wedge slices out of the fruit. use a small plate or bowl and pour some regular white table sugar onto your dish.

the shots are

1/2 frangelico's Hazelnut liquor

1/2 vodka

if you liquor is kept col you can pour straight into shot glasses, otherwise pour into shaker with ice 1st. when doing this was just figure roughly 1 oz of each liquor for every 2 shots for a standard shotglass

so now here is the fun part!...have each person take a lemon wedge and dip it in the sugar coat both sides. You take the sugar coated lemon in your mouth and suck out all the juice from the lemon and all that sugar, (don't swallow!) then take your shot of the frangelico's and vodka mix (now you can swallow...if you want he hee it gets so tasty you might wanna savor it lol and that is your choice hee hee)

when the fruit juice and sugar meets the alcohol the flavors meld and you get this super jummy taste of german chocolate cake!

I am sure you could try other hazelnut liquors and it will probably work but my hubby bought me the frangelico's which is more the name brand. I like using absolute in most my shots and that is just for me i find it a smoother vodka compared to say smirnoff, smirnoff burns in my opinion lol but Absolut isnt the most pricey so its good If you have a favorite higher quality vodka you woudl rather use go for it I just give you my opinions and preferences in a drink like this the flavor is transformed into something so different that as long as it is a fairly smooth liquor it will be delish!

Day 8

Rum Jungle Juice!

full sized glass filled with ice cubes...(crushed ice better if you have it)

now this drink is done in layers so you must pour them in this exact order!

2 oz - midori (or melon liquor)

2 oz - Coconut rum

1 oz - Stroh (this is a butterscotch liquor but it is 160 proof which is 80% alcohol you can sub off brands of the other liquors accept i do not reccomend subbing this)

by now your glass should be mostly full so just top off with pineapple juice I would say about 1" or less of juice

now doesnt that look pretty!!!

you can garnish with fruit slices such as an orange or pinapple.

now as pretty as it is lol you dont wann adrink it that way lol the flavors will be very sperated so mix it all up and it wont be so pretty but boy will it taste yummy! be carefull with these though, they are almost all alcohol (only about 1" juice remember) so they will sneak up on you quick if you are not careful

Midori Sex on the Beach

1 part midori

1 part vodka

1 part peach schnapps

1 part pineapple juice

1 part cranberry

shake with ice and then strain and serve in a tall glass with ice

....honestly...I hated it! lol I am sorry I have never had sex on the beach and I do like midori in some things like say a midori sours or the rum jungle juice, however...this drink just wasnt great I would never make it again and that is my personal oppinion and if it sounds yummy to you please feel free to try maybe you will love it, it just was not for me

Day 10

Jelly Doughnut Shots

1 part Chambord raspberry liquor

2 parts irish cream (bailey's)

wet the rim of your shotglass and dip into sugar (if you have a tiny ramakin this is my suggestion pour justa little of the chambord into it we dont want to waste this so thats why I said a very small dish and just enough alcohol to coat the bottom dip your shotglass in this and then in the sugar for a rasberry hint to the sugar) add your 2 to 1 mizture to the glasses and Salute! ( i always loving saying cheers in italian he hee) this one when those flavors meld and mix they really do taste like a jelly filled doughnut!

I like thes kind of drinks cold I keep my bailey's in my fridge so it is always cold or if i am using it for a party or something Istick in the freezer for the night I dont leave in the freezer as I am weary about what may happen but I do like mine very cold, because warm cream is not so yummy anyways if yours is not cold and you are like me then just shake it in a shaker with ice it will work just fine.

Ok well I havent had tim eto mix any drinks the past couple days so I ran out of ones I tried (cuz I tried more than one on Friday night lol and I didnt drink the rest of the weekend or yesterday, cuz my moms cat is sick and has to stay at the vet a few days...she had jaundice, and then I went to the church for a meeting to start helping out with the youth group! yay and after that I went to work out and after that it was late but ihad to finish setting up my store and posts for today lol soooo it was a but crazy) ...anyways instead of a mixed drink how about a product review...of sorst lol

I love mikes hard lemonade and bacardi silvers and smirnoffs! I am not a beer person every beer I ever tasted was just gross!

So... Mikes Hard lemonade has some limited edition seasonal favorites out right now.

1st up they have PINK LEMONADE!!! how great is that not only does it taste yummy like pink lemonade they created it to sponsor a great cause...Breast Cancer Research! so if you love mikes and you love pink lemonade this is a must try!

2nd they have another limited edition seasonal favorite!...Raspberry lemonade! now it isn't as sweet as you would get from a reg raspberry lemonande but it is sweeter and fruitier than the reg lemonade it was very yummy!

The only prob with these 2 new beverages is they are limited edition!...I want more!!! ...that and that the hubby keeps stealing my drinks! lol he even things they tatste great! he will drink a reg mikes but he still will usually pick a beer but now he keeps drinking mine all up because he liked them sooooo much!

Now Bacardi silvers are great! they are not as heavy as smirnoff if that makes any sense?!?! they are lighter and smoother the Bacardi Silver Raz is my fav!!! but they just put out a lemonade!!! and it has a lighter taste than mikes it tatstes great but it just tastes crisper and smoother and not as heavy as say a mikes ...another one the hubby keeps stealing lol

so anyways these are all very yummy choices if you can find 'em

Happy Release Day All!

I have to say Halloween is one of my fav Holidays!

I think that is the Fashion/Costume Designer in me.

When I decided to go into Fashion I wanted so bad to be in Costumingdesigning for movies would have been soooooo awesome! Instead I ended up in intimate apparel lol pajamas bras etc ...however not long before the company closed I did get a chance to go into sexy halloween costumes! It was soooo much fun! unfortunately the company had to close down before they got to produce any of them =(

And I want to say to me halooween is fun in its Comercialized form but I also respect the holiday as All soulds day or All saints day the Catholic tradition behind the holiday as well, or the mexican tradution of Dia de los muertos the day of the dead... but the costumes and trick or treaters is my fav part!

So this release was soooooo much fun to design! The only problem was I had WAY too many ideas and not enough time to make them all come into fluition.

Drink of the Day 9-14-09 Vodka Daquiri

Ok so one of my all time fav drinks is a Strawberry Daquiri!

I usually make mine abit strong instead of using half a can of rum i use a whole lol...but tonight ...no rum! Why is all the rum gone?

lol soooo anyways I decided to make up my own twist! I love freckled lemonade! and I just bought a bottle of lemoncello! mmmmm soooo since I was debating between a strawberry daquiri and a lemoncello martini I decided to do my own thing!

1 can of Frozen Strawberry Daquiri mix

1/2 can of vodka (I like absolute)

fill the blender with Ice and Blend until smooth

...pour in glass and top with about a 1/2" of lemoncello on the top and swirl in and enjoy!

it was more strawberry with a hint of lemon but it was tasty!

Well today I felt like a litte vacation so How about a Blue Hawaiian?!?!

(by the way I try these a day or 2 before my posts lol in case you are wondering he hee I am setting my posts for 12:01 am each day and somedays like sunday I don't usually Drink or just sometimes I dont feel like it lol so I try out an extra one or two on Fri or Sat so I can have one a day here on my blog lol)

Anyway, Blue Hawaiian!

1/2 oz sour mix

1 oz Blue Curacao

1 oz Vodka

1 oz Light Rum

2 oz Pinapple Juice

Shake with Ice and serve in an old fashioned glass on the Rocks

MMMM Pinapple Juice anything sign me up! he hee and the Blue Curacao wow that makes a great tropical drink! However you have to watch the ratio to other colored products too much juice the color wont look so pretty lol but it looked just fine with the 2 oz the recipe called for.

You know what I think would be a super yummy option instead of plain pinapple juice using the pineapple orange juice I'll have to try it another day but it does sound good and I am sure it would taste just fine

It's Saturday!!!! so let's go a little nutty!!!

Todays Drink of the Day is the Nutty Irishman

1 1/2 oz Frangelica (Frangelico Hazelnut Liquior is brand name)

1 1/2 oz Irish Cream

Served on the rocks in an old fashioned glass

This is another super yummy super creamy drink that can so just be my desert!

It is best COLD so combine with ice in a shaker before pouring or keep your liquor cold

Though it was great on it's own I wasnt in teh mood for such a strong drink tonight So I also saw another version of this recipe that called for an equal part of cream, well no cream in my house =( so I just added 1 oz of 2% milk and it was just fine. I love drinks like this that you can mild down when your not in th emood for something too strong but you also have the option to leave as is when you are in the mood for something a little stronger

1 1/2 oz vodka

1/2 oz peach schnapps

2 oz cranberry juice

Served on the rocks on an oldfashioned glass or cocktail glass

Sorry no pic today couldnt find a good one, I'll be sure to set up and charge my camera and start taking my own pics

This was a tasty cocktail We enjoyed it with some cheese and crackers, and if you find it a little strong for your mood you can always add a little more cranberry juice, also 100% juice would probably be better than cranberry cocktail drink that I used since it will have a stronger cranberry taste to mellow out the alcohol.

Ok so I dont know if I have ever expressed this before But I love mixing Drinks! he hee Its fun to try new things, I am not a Beer person at all, and I would love to be a bartender! how fun does that sound...soooooooooo while I am working on my journey to loose weight I am also going to be teaching myself some bartending basics and recipe's (I know that it will make the weight loss harder , but I figure one shared drink a night with the Hubby is fine if I count it in my points (weight watchers) and do my workouts everyday as planned)

So I thought I would share with you some of the supre yummy drinks I find...well and let you know the yucky ones too he hee

So to start us off the 1st day I thought a super yummy one would be good

So Day 1 - Butter Nipple Shot

Use a frosty shot glass and chill your liquor before hand in order to get the layered look, or you can shake together with ice in a shker but then its just beige all teh way through

1/2 shotglass Buttershots (or butterscotch schnapps)

1/2 shotglass Irish Cream on top (pour slowly to keep in layers)

This Shot can be done quickly however it is smooth and sweet and very yummy you can even sip slowly. I honestly think this would take place of desert! It really is that decadent and yummy!

...Well week lol

I havent had much time to craft lately because of the house hunting and designing lots and lots of new images for all 3 stores...but I did squeeze in a little time to finally get to use some of my new sets I hadn't even touched...they were screaming out play with me..play with me!!! he hee

(by the way I got an amazing birthday gift a week or so ago from Jacquie...and i havent showed it off yet...I will work on taking a pic and I'll post it soon)

but for now...

I saw a few other people take grad ian and turn him into harry potter and I loved that idea! but I wanted to try something different...do i stretched grad iams body and traced it (the lines were too thick to use on its own) ...and thats how I created these great hogwarts robes... I replaced the diploma with wands. Rons head was peter pan from the never ever set, Harry's head was grad ian shrunken down a little, and hermiony was the rain miss anya anyways with so much work on the characters I really wanted it to be all about them I had this great paper by CM with the tree and moon set the perfect back drop

So up til now I had never tried to change any of my TGF iamges because well I love them so much as they are, but I have seen such great things from people who did so I wanted to try a few things. I masked the flower in the hair of the dressy anya on the right and drew in the lines that was my 1st time ever masking something and it worked pretty well I think I might do that more often! then I drew 2 witches hats from scratch... Halloween is one of my FAV ever holidays!!

So I had gotten this set a while back and never had a chance to use it so I colored these 2 to match and I really wanted to use both on a card Chris and I love teh Pirates of the Carribean ride at Disneyland...and we love love love the blue bayou the restraunt that overlooks the ride so this card was made for him inspipred by all that...maybe this is how we should dress for halloween?!?!? lol but he is my best friend and my husband and the love of my life so i thought this was perfect!

Sorry everyone I havent posted much lately I have been soo busy! Chris and I are trying to buy our 1st house so it has been a lot of work and time trying to search and look and all that we found one we want and boy do we want it! it is perfect! it is a block or 2 from my parents which is nice and it actually was my best friends family home growing up, I spent many a sleepovers there! how perfect would that be! so we are hoping and praying our offer is accepted this time.

So in the time that I have had to work here on the computer I have been spending it designing new images!!! and boy is there lot coming out! there will be new ones at MSB and the Digishack...and of course Sassy Studio Designs...now I cant show you waht I have been upto with the other 2 stores because it's top secret! lol but I promise you you will love them!!!

But I can show you what I have been up to at my store...because today is release day!!!

of course I had to use Freckled Lemonade! One because I love Freckled Lemonade! but two because I love freckles (a lil partial to red hair and freckles lol)

For m ethe idea of Freckled Lemonade is fresh and bright!. Pinks and reds and lemon yellow. but I am not a fan of yellow lol but I love lime green! he hee This SU paper Raspberry Tart screamed Freckled Lemonade to me!

And did you know that SSD is going to be releasing a limited edition set of card scents!?!? They are!!!! and they are going to have a Freckled Lemonade one! it smells like fresh squeezed Lemonade a loads of fresh strawberries!

Next Up I know I haven't been around much and I appologize. There are a few reasons...One being I havent had hardly any time to craft! =( so sad! I have been so busy creating new images for MSB and the Digishack, as well as Sassy Studios which is great because we will have so much happening at all 3 stores, but bad for my crafts =( and teh #2 reason which is also a huge one as it has taken up a lot of my time and most my weekend too... Hubby and I are going to buy a house!!!! yay we are so excited!!! So we have been hunting and searching for listings online then going out and taking a look and if we like what we see we 've been meeting with the realator to view, we havent picked the "one" yet... but we have a few we are excited about! and once we get to see them fully we are hoping to make adecision soon...isnt hat exciting though!?!?! I am so happy! anyways so I just wanted to give you a little update.

and I have started scheduling my time and made sure to allot me crafting time and blogging time, so I promise I will be getting back in the swing of things very soon!

I feel so bad I have been so flaky on my blog lately. I have been working my toosh off for my new sassy studios, designing new stuff for Modern Sugar Blvd and the digishack I mean It has been crazy! (and applying and interviewing for jobs Almost had on too a good one fashion design and pattern drafting yay! but wanted to pay me $10 an hour which wont even pay my bills so I couldn't take it I used to make 4ok/year and now realistically I'm looking for bare min of $14/hour so I am willingly taking a cut because I know the economy, plus where I moved to the cost of living is cheaper, however i cant go below that or I wont be able to afford to live i still have rent and car and gas and utilities etc ok I'm rambling! lol)

Cinema Saturday - Strange Brew

So since I was one of 2 winners of the Beauty and the Beast challenge over at Cinema Saturday I was invited to be a guest designer this week! I was so excitied!!! They picked a movie alled Strange Brew it's a Canadian Comedy in honor of Canada Day on July 1st. I had never heard of it so my first task was to find out about it and see if I could rent it man I called every video store around me and almost no luck one of the last ones I was going to call not the closest but still I could get there, had it, Blockbuster had it yay!!! So the hubby and I sat down and well it deffinately wasn;t a movie I would pick lol don't get me wrong it was funny in an annoying dumb drunken kind of way and well those aren;t my kinda movies but Chris loved it!!! i couldn;t get him to stop mimiking a canadian accent and saying eh!?!? for yours! ugh lol and he just kept going on about the mouse he was like you should make a mouse in the castle or a mouse in the bottle, or a mouse in a beer but he loved the little mouse lol soooo this card was 100% inspired by and for my hubby lol

Anyway this movie had this Elizabethan feel to it in parts where it shows this castle and factory atop the hills, which inspired the look of this cart with the muted tones the distressed look on the papers. I used DCWV Happily Ever After. But this was obviously a comedy kind of cheesy and funny in a drunken goofball kinda way soooooo when you open the door to this seemingly scerene and beautiful card you have the little mouse from the bottle asking "where's my free beer Eh?"

I know I am soooo playing catch up again! lol it's been crazy lately trying to find a job and going on interviews has kept me busy on top of desiging all sorts of new images! anyways so let me fill in a few blanks 1st off and most important is that today is release day over at Modern Sugar Blvd!!! here are some of the new images you can expect to see showing up for sale today!

This first one has a # of images used the umbrella, tanning lotion and beach ball are all sperate but I combined them to make this scene.

The next is a sentiment an eifle tower and a fashionista! all combined to make a scene

And another 3 image scene! lol I guess I was on a roll lol this one has a sentiment a scooter and a brand new doodler!

Ok no time for a little catch up! this was my creation for this weeks challenge! It;s a sketch challenge. I used 5 images a wedding cake, a bride, champagne flutes, and a stainedglass window scene and a pair of rings.
This was the challenge from the week before (sorry I didn;t get to show it off) the challenge was to use a size 10 card! and the DT was asked to use the potting shed image.

Ok and last release ugh yeah taht is how far behind I am! I mean I did the projects just never had a chance to post them. 1st is a Welcome sign that I plan to have on my front dorr for out 4th of July Party!

And next we have GI jane lol! I love supporting our troops and I thought these sentimenst I created were awesome!

Ok for starters I saw these paper magazine filer boxes and wanted to try one sooooooo bad and I found this great tutorial over here at sheet load of cards

it went great turned out perfect but was smaller than I wanted it fits mini cards and tags

But since I wanted something to fit my reg size cards I reworked the math and created my own pattern! he hee hee it turned out pretty good I think I later found someone else did the same I did she altered the smaller to fit A-2 size cards She has the dimensions and instructions on her blog here her name is Melinda

I was on such a run I decided I had to make more!!! lol and I found this lovely lady that sells patterns. Becky at Inking Idaho click here. (it was a little stinky cuz after buying it and making them I sooooo could have figured it out on my own lol however who really wants to take the time to do that lol and her tutorial was awesome! so i am in no way belittling it. However I feel it did waste a lot more paper than I wanted to use So I did come up with a few things on my own reworked calculations and I've gotta look at her policies and see if I share that if it's a problem so I cant do that yet but I'll update you soon, as I do have 3 new sets to show off using my modified pattern (my sis is trying to sell them to the girls in her office!)

Anyways here is teh overall view of everything

The tutorial I purchased showed me how to make the awesome chest of drawers and the 3 card filer attachement for on top of it. here is the chest of drawers I made not perfect but not bad for the 1st time

Then I did something crazy that I will NEVER EVER so again lol it was sooooooooooooooooo hard and time consuming and it didnt turn out perfect so it just wasn't worth it, it is nice but i just wont ever do it again! lol

Then I got this tutorial over at Holly's Blog Toy's Heaven that showed this awesome mini file cabinet!

this was soooooo perfect I tend to buy those $1 stamp sets at Michaels and Joanns and well never really had a great place to store them. I had them in CD cases but this was just soooooooooooo much better lol what do you think?

Envelope album!

OMG (Oh my goodness!!!!) I completely forgot about this!!!!!!!!!I made this forever and a day ago it seems! I completely forgot to post it! (and another one too which I will get up in a few minutes) these are dated 5/27!!!! that was a week I was crafting galore!!! and then I was gonna spread out my posts and I loaded the pics I just hadnt done the text so I was going to get back to it and then post one each day and I never did Soooooooooo sad too because I love these!!!

Ok so this is an envelope album, I got the idea over here at Patti's blog
Then I got the tutorial from teh same place she did here at Paula's blog
I modified it to fit the supplies I had but it worked great!!!

here it is closed and sealed with a belly band around it

here it is opened. I hadn't added it yet at this time but I did put velcro dots to keep it closed incase something happens to the belly band

I put a little pocket down on the right hand side of the lowest pannel and sealed it with half a velcro dot and put a little 3x3 card in it for the recipient of this gift

to the left of the card pocket is a pannel for a photo or note or whatever you want

in the center panel is a layered hinged album of sorts, each of these is actually a #10 vellum envie (you can use reg envie but all I had was vellum) and to create the notches I used my circle cutters and my scalloped circle punch and reinforced the edges with a flower looking scalloped edge

each envie is covered ith the same paper on the front and back for photos to be attached (this pic has teh inserts taken out so you can see the notches with teh flower like boarders

here is with the 3 hinged pages open and it shows the back panel can be used for another photo or journaling

here are the 3 inserts these go in each envie. the tags are on both sides just circles glued together sandwiched around the inserts the inserts are also decorate on both sides the same so lots of room for photos or journaling

Beauty and the Beast

I don;t know If I said this yet, but I LOVE Movies!!! I LOVE em! anyways I love that Cinema Saturday does crafting challenges inspired by movies! and this week they picked Disney!! which is above all always my favorite!!! This week is Beauty an dthe beast! and I was so inspired when I put the movie in that I created 4 cards!!! and I just might squeeze in a few more by the end of this week if I have time.

When you think Beauty and teh Beast one of the 1st things that come to mind is her beautiful golden dress! so I used gold vellum paper and gold ribbon and created my own

Another thing you think of is the enchanted castle. I used my cricut but instead of using solid colored papers I used different patterned papers from teh DCWV happily ever after stack (on of my fav stacks ever!) I think it gives it more of a mideival or renneisance look to it

And probably another one of the biggest things you think of, and probably the 1st thing most people think of is the enchanted rose. well in th emovie there are great stained glass windows portrayed in the begining and end and I love them so much!!! so here we go

another stained glass this was a coloring book images i photocopied and shrunk then colored then used a thick sharpie marker to giveit a stainedglass look then brushed with a this layer of clear accents the rose is from my cricut and the paper is DCWV once upon a time again

Good Morning everyone!!! and Happy Friday! So I know I mentioned on one or both of my blogs that I intended to announce and open the New Sassy Studio Designs Blog last monday on the first. Well sadly to say I mean it existed but it wasn;t quite ready to launch. I have been working my tookus off all week pulling late night trying to get everything ready to start this blog off right!!!! So Without further Adue, I present to you, My new Business Blog.... Sassy Studio Designs!!!

We are starting the blog and later today we will be offering a Free digi image as well as a DT call out So make sure you check by there this afternoon for those details.

ugggghhhh !!!! Ok I HATE bugs I mean I HATE bugs!!! ok and I am a bug spray freak!!!!

So anyways when we 1st moved into this place (we are renting) It wooked well a bit rundown as if it had been vacant a little while. The great thing though is they had just put new carpet through out and new laminate tile flooring so that's great and the had just painted. This place isn't new it's probably been around longer than I have or pretty close lol, anyways like i said it seemed to have been a little empty for quite a while, the outside was completely infested with black widows! as well as cocroaches ugggghhhhh and the garage too! and I HATE spiders the mist I mean all kinda of spiders but Black Widows teh most cuz they are poisinous!

So when we moved We got this HUGE container of bug spray and We sprayed top to bottom every knook and cranny every edge every seam I mean wew sprayed like crazy! and it worked I mean any bugs I found were Dead and those are the best kind of bugs to find! lol well then winter came and they were gone anyhow well now that it is hot out they are back, I haven;t seen black widow's yet thank goodness I hope we killed them all off, however say we get home at night and the front light comes on automatically their are coocaracha's everywhere!!! little ones mostly but all over the drive way and near the front step etc! uggghhhhh

Anyways we have sprayed like crazy all over the front step and around the front door and thankfully that has given us a barier, because they havent crossed into the house yet (they die first yay) anyways but some how and i dont know how, but some where the ones in teh garage, and these ones aren;t the little ones these ones are the big ones these ones are getting in my house! uggggghhhhhhhh we found one in the batroom in the middle of the night the other night ( I woke up with a tummy ache and went to the restroom and there it was!!!!) ugggghhh so hiubby was so sweet and got out of bed and squished it! My hero! lol anyways so we have been spraying again little by little wherever we think we need to like the garage the back patio around the doors and windows...(i now thing they are coming in from the whole around the pipes under the bathroom sink or some other whole i dont know about)

And you will never believe what happened this morning!?!?!? I get up I get dressed I am getting ready to go to the back room (my work room) but where is my cat?!?!? she always follows me out of the bedroom and when i go into the restroom in the morning she follows me in ( I think its habbit from when she lived with my mom and dad she always competed for attention with the other cat and well my cat isnt pushy so she usually lost lol so every morning she would go into the bathroom with my mom and thats when my mom would brush her lol ) so anyways she'll come in and I'll pet her and then she will run to her food bowl in the dining area and wait for a fill up on food and water, but this morning, no tahnee??? hmmmm??? so I go back in the bedroom and there is a little pile of junk right between the door and closet some stuff I need to go through (I still have boxes to go through lol just need more places to put stuff! lol) and she is sitting in the opening of the closet staring at this pile so i go what are you doing and then out of the corner of my eye i see somthing move!!!!! uggggghhhhhh!!!!! it was a big coocaracha!!!! ugggggghhhhhhhhhjh!!!! crawling in the pile (this pile has an old cell phon, a box of photo's and negatives i need to put in the craft room etc just a few misc items) so while she watched it, i went and got the bug spray and sprayed the crap out of it!!!!! we watched the thing whither and die on top of a pack of small scrapbook pages (thank goodness they were covered in plastic! so then i dumped him in the potty!!!! but sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo grossssssssssssss!!!!!!!!! it was in my bedroom!!!!!! So everything I had planned for teh day, is out the door!
I am scrubbing this place top to bottom!!! and then I am spraying the crap out of every corner with tah bug spray stuff (its the home defence stuff the non aerosol its pump action so no fumes but when i am done with that the kitty and I are going to my parents house for a few hours anyways to get away from whatever fumes there will be so sorry ladies I had wanted to show you some stuff but that will have to wait til tomorrow cuz today I am killing buggies!!!!!

PS I went into the 2nd restroom just a few mins ago and there was a spider!!! so I sprayed the heck out of that too!!! lol

ok enough ranting and raving I am gonna get to work!!! I sooooo can not live like this 2 coocarachas in the house in 1 week that is a million times too much!!!!!

lol so this is a first time ever Digi Shack Sneaky Peaky!!!! ohhhhhh you can't wait can you?!?!?

So Toni from teh Digishack and I worked on 6 new images that will be coming out on or before June 15th. Why do I say or before...well because we love them soooooooo much we don't know if we can stand waiting any longer lol So they will fo rsure be released the 15th, however she may sneak one or 2 in early lol but we don't know yet, your just gonna have to watch and wait and wonder and keep chacking back . I know I know I am such a tease! Tell me something I don't already know lol Anyways So I have 3 and I was gonna spread them out over the next few days, but well I am very very busy got tons of new images I am working on sooooo instead of drawing it out and making you wait I'll show you all 3 today!!! yay aren't you lucky! and like I said a total of 6 images sooo that means maybe later this week, maybe next week, only god knows when I will be posting the otehrs so keep an eye out.

Speaking of eyes, isn't this eye beautiful...well maybe I should color more carefully lol but when you zoom in so close on a pic I guess you see all the flaws

So it has been a while since I got to play with my Anya's =( so sad!
And I bought the new Rain Snow and Shine set the morning it came out at like 4am pacific time and yes I live in pacific time lol. And the ppor dears have been sitting on myshelf unused yet sooooo sad =(
So I thought I have to use them!!!! So Club Anya is having a Casing Challenge "I wanna Be like you" And the card by Caz is beautiful!!! And The greeting farm is having their summer gardner DT call out and I sooo wanted to do that too and well there just doesnt seem to be enough hours in a day these days so I combined them into 1 yay!!!! so i did the casing with the basic layout and feel of the card but the DT call out requirements was use yellow or orange or both and what is crazy is that those are my least 2 favorite colors in teh world he hee hee, but no biggy, yellow looks great with line and hot pink, two of my all time fav summer colors! sooooo mix it all up and here we go! And I know summer you don;t think rain, but here's the deal.... I live in sunny southern California in the high desert it is always very very dry and very very hot, and it's great! but maybe close to 2 weeks ago out of the blue on one of teh hotest days so far it sprinkled rain...go figure lol so it was a clear cooling rain on a hot sunny day lol

So about my card, I did a Shaker box-esque kind of card. I have teh wondow and it is raised with pop dots (but unlike a shaker card I don't have to waste a whole sheet, just enough to hold it up!)
I used my clear accents to make raindrops on teh clear window, as well and around her on teh background paper (those are hard to see in the pic) loaded up with flowers and bling and Ta-Da! I have some stamped flourishes on the background (I completely forgot I had these when I made my ever after card yesterday ) I created some of my own blingy flourishes, and some ribbon. I am very happy with how this card turned out! I hope you enjoy it as much

Dancing in the Rain

Modern Sugar Blvd. Challenge #4

this weeks challenge was pretty simple it was a you choose kinda thing. Just get creative. As a DT member we were asked to use this new image these cute whimsicle rain boots that are going to be released in the store tomorrow. So I invite youto join in and play too, pick any MSB images, any one you have anyone you like, whatever you choose, and get creative! think outside the box. Play with any colors you wish, but challenge yourself do something new you have never done before.

here is the front of my card. So what I did was teh rain boots, and i used clear accents on it to give it a rubbery dimensional look to them. Then I used my cricut to create the sun and the clouds, and then some more clear accents to create rain drops. i used a grey silver glitter card as the base to add to the gloomy rainy feel I was going for

and here is the inside I think maybe I will redo and print it out on my printer as soon as I have the time to do it.

So how about anotehr late night preview for those of you whom might still be awake, otherwise the rest of you will see it tomorrow tee hee hee.

We have "I can do it" Our Miss Fix it Momma here! yay!!!
So here is the thing this is kinda 2 previews in one hmmmmmm how does that work....one well is the image isnt she cute ( and yes she has full legs I just chopped them off for this tag) but the second preview....well do you remember me mentioning to you that I was building shelves in my craft room?!?!

So here they are!!! Ok no I did not build them from scratch, my dad built these at his old shop a long time ago and well when they gave up the shop and moved the office to tehir house, these were gonna go to storage or get scrapped (most likely scrapped lol) and well I could deffinatly use some storage and organization around here so I put dibbs in! Well the thing is my dad built these in to a specific spot and well getting them out was not easy and they kinda fell apart i mean completely colaapsed all the left shelves and well teh nails ripped right through teh wood etc. lucky me the right side stayed intact yay! and i have had those up for a few weeks now but i really needed to get teh rest done so rather than keep waiting on hubby or daddy to do it, I did it!!!

And I did a darn good job I think, it's not perfect I know and once we buy a house we will jsut have to tear these down again and rebuild them again so i figure no biggy when that time comes i will sand all the pieces and restain and varnish all the pieces and rebuild it better, but for now it works great!
SO here is teh whole view and do you see my littls tag hanging there?

here is the side i had to completely rebuild boy was it hard it was deffinately a job for 2 people and I did it all myself and it took some trial and error and some more error lol but I got it done! and now i have a place to put my second computer and the hubby even gets teh top shelfe for his display items like his model cars and star wars toys lol 9they are disney so its ok lol (its donald duck and stitch etc as diff star wars characters) I still ahve lots to do to get my shelves full and organized and my floors empty lol but it's a work in progress

My very 1st Cinema Saturday Challenge

So there is this great blog that uses Movies as inspiration for their weekly challenges... I LOVE Movies!!! lol it's the greatest thing ever!!! anyways, I have been watching them for a few weeks now and just had not had a chance to play yet =( SO this week is Ever After A Cinderella Story which is seriously one of my Fav movies!!!! I watch it so much when I craft not that I watch it it just runs and rund and runs for background noise lol So I of course had to play!

So the requirements was it was supposed to have flourishes and well I dont have any =( I think i need to go buy some more cricut carts he hee hee, but i had this great embossing folder for my cuttlebug that was a damask which is kinda flourish like so that is what I used.

Here are 2 pics one with a black background and one with a white since I used a dark silver cardstock and white and blue it made it hard to get a great photo so i did both background option

I used my cricut with the Dreams Come True cart to cute the layers of the dress. I uses a thin white metalic CS for the base of the dress and embossed it on my cuttlebug. I used the dark metalic silver cardstock as a shadow, and I used some of the bazzil blings CS to make the blue accenst. I used bunches of little pearls to bling it up. I used a frosty white vellum and hand designed the wings and then glittered them all over! (they did kind of curl while drying so i just put them through the cuttle bug with no folders but sadwiched between paper ( so i didnt get glitter all over) and tada! it was flat again! I used dimensionals to attach the wings to teh dress and the dress to the card to give it dimension. I also used the damask embossing folder on the background blue and layered white bazzils bling, and the dark silver cardstock. everything was pearly or sparkly and it is a little hard to see but it very pretty. anyways I hope you like, because I had great fun doing it! I just might have to go back and do some of their past movies as I see many of my favs listed he hee hee

Who want's a sneaky peaky?

Modern Sugar Blvd. is having a HUGE release on saturday May 30th....thats in 2 days!!!!! just 2 days!!!! (lol kudos to those who get the movie reference should be 3 days but I forgot to post yesterday he hee hee) Anyways this release will be full of fun! OMgoodness We hav some flash back from the past, some new Momma's and some fun whimsy food hmmmmm doesn't that sound interesting....so wanna see?!?!?!

So....let me introduce on of our new flash from the past images... A Hippie!!!!! isn't she hot?!?!?! (yes she is one of mine I and I guess I am a bit partial tee hee hee)
Anyway, I couldn't find that perfect paper I had in mind to create this card with I searched and searched for the perfect paper and no such luck, soooooo when life hands you lemons make lemonade so I did! I made the background. I bused out my Cricut and my mickey and friends cart and used Daisy's Daisies in diff sizes and colors and It was perfect!
I didn't put a sentiment well because I thought it would be too much and sometimes cards don't need sentimentsa, and I can always add one later if I wish.

So now that you have seen mine you should start clicking away at the different DT members blogs because who knows what images they will be showing off today.

It's a Lani Luau Kinda Day

So I announced earlier this month I was designing images for the DigiShack and I am and it is soooooo much fun! I love doing these cute little girls! and I have been wanting to play with them ever since I created them, and now I finally got the chance! yay!!!!

The 1st image I did was designed after their logo because we all know how cute she is! I did not design the original logo that was via another artist and I mean they did a great job! If I knew who the artist was I would totally plug them and give a shout out to them. So anyways I mean this one is very much similar since i did use the same pose and overall look but I tried to keep her my style at the same time and not copy that artist. (in design school we are taught you just have to change something 10 or 15% I can't recall the exact # right now but change it that much and it is a legal knockoff) and believe me that sounds terrible I know and I in no way wanted to knock off thier skills or their illustration because theirs is sooooo much better than mine is but the goal was to create a stamp image that was like the digi shack logo because well we all loved it soooo much and wanted it sooooo bad....so anyways long story short I totally give credit to teh other artist for the idea and if i find out who the artist is I will link to them later. But she was my version of their idea and she is different...and she is great!

So without further adue we have Lani on her palm leaf! and I was completely inspired by the hawaiian tradition of giving a lei and so lani here is surrounded by a ring of flowers.

Next we have Hula Lani and well I had to set the stage for the perfect hula Performance with palm trees all around.

And we have our Surfer Lani catching some of those great summer waves!

So I know I haven't been around my blog much lately but I promise I have been busy busy busy!!! I have been desiging new girls for the DigiShack, and new girls for MSB and even a few just for myself for when i finally get to launch my new store. I have been looking into my options for selling my images myself and designing a new blog. I am hoping I can set up a blog that I can sell from with a shopping cart, vs having a seperate store and seperate blog It would be great to just have one place to do it all. So I'm working on that. I have been looking like mad for a job with no success yet had a few interviews so i am crossing my fingers, and I have been working on my craft room!!! and it is sooooooo close to being done! it will be soooo nice! and as soon as it is I will show off some pics! I have also been creating I promise I promise, I have tons and tons of stuff to show off today as well as throughout the rest of this week!!! and I have been working on some Albums for my grandma. When I went to PA to visit her in Jan. I raided all her old pics, and brought home a huge 50 lb full to the brim suitcase full of photos!!!! the great thing is there are pics of my pappy when he was drafted and in korea in the military, and there are very very old pics of my great grandmother and my great great grandmother!!! I mean these are great! only prob is great grandma dies when i was young, great great grandma passed I thin before i was born or when I was a baby, pappy (or grandpa) passed a few years back, the only person who even knows who any of these peopls are are my grandma and my great great aunt (the sister of my great grandma) so these photos have beenstored in misc boxes and drawers for so long they are curled and damagedand some so discolored! so we are working on scanning all the important ones, and then putting them all in albums with page protectors so they can be enjoyed for years and years to come! its a HUGE project and I am so happy my mom is helping! so teh past few days I have been going to my parents house for a few hours everyday working on this endeavour.

So now that everyone is caught up on my news how about some pics!!!!
So one of my best friends of all time Shannon graduated with her Bachelors in Communication this weekend!!! and sad to say she is moving to Utah to go for her masters in phsical therapy. I am gonna miss her sooooooo mcuh! but not as much as she is gonna miss sunny California!
So I had to make her something special for her Grad.

I started with making a box out of SU card stock I did a base and a lid, and cut a window in teh lid and used a clear film in the window. I then decorated the lid with designer paper I got at Michaels. I used a great black ribbon as a belly band to hold it all closed and decorated with an S for shannon cut from my Cricut.

Then I filled it will all sorts of matching monogrammed items just for her!

First of course with any stationery set you must have some monogrammed cards right so I did 2 horizontal and 2 vertical in each color.

Then I made scalloped circle seals with her monogram on it as well glued half way to the envelope so once its sealed it looks all nice.

A magnetic note pad that coordinated, So I just made a pretty belly band on it.

I also got a 2 year planner with no set dates (you fill in your own dates) and created a cover for it and slid it right back in its protective sleeve and gave it a pretty belly band too

Then those littls note pads at michales with the pens are great! but none of teh covers matched soooooo I tore it off and created my own out of cardstock and paper, then I also had a mini calendar and note pad I glued inside with it as well. Here is the front and the inside views.

Modern Sugar Blvd. Challenge #3

So this was a multi Challenge for us. We design team members were to use the sketch, use the new cupcake image (super cute by the way) and use the colors ivory chocolate and pink (what great colors!!!!)

So who is ready for new images!?!?!?!

I know I sure am! lol well and I even gotto play with them early teehehee!

These are just 2 of the great new images you will see. the first is a little pair of glasses. you can add them to one of your girls, or you can use them on their own, me, well when I saw them I couldn;t get Harry Potter out of my head! lol sooooooooo I thought why the heck not! lets do a silly little card with Harry Potter in mind, since the new movie will be coming out soon! SO I printed th eglasses out a little larger x3 and broke the 1st tied up the second and well after a wave of a magic wand and saying the magic spell they are magically fixed!

ok I know that was a silly little crad but it was fun! lol but next well how about a more normal crad for the everyday girls out there like me that seem to spend their lives on their PDA's or cell phones! lol either chatting with friends or taking care of business I thought this would be cute to send a friend just to let her know I am thinking of her and we'll keep in touch!

and no these are not of my design these are by one of the other amazing artists over at MSB! because there are others than just me ;)

So these past weeks I have not had a stitch of time to do my own crafting. I had stamp designs galore to do for both the Digishack and Modern Sugar Blvd. I also had a bunch of wood signs to paint for a music festival hosted by the carmelite center (where the carmelite nuns live) Then I had mothers day planning to do I hosted a Tea for my mom, my cousins mom, my husbands aunt (his mom lives in another state) and my sisters mother in law. I made the invites and I did tons of baking and cooking for it and then trying to catch up on all my house work...uggggghhhhh the past few months were crazy busy always had something going on all weekend long everyweekend and you know when your gone a lot and you dont put things away when you get back they pile up fast!!!! and when your not concentrating on your house because you are trying to find a job and do all these other things like stamp designing and painting signs lol well your house gets a mess!!!! lol and to top it off I have been doing some reconstruction in my craft room too so I hadn;t been able to see my craft table in weeks!

Well now that things are settled I told myself this week (or at least the first few days) are for me. For me to get my house back in order and for me to finish a few household projects I am working on and for me to do some crafting! Well I am getting there, I'm not done but I'm getting there!Ii got the bathrooms done, the bedroom almost done I still have some laundry to finish and gotta fold a ton of socks and undies all I have left now is to finish the living room and craft room...lol ok I think no one really cares about my chores lol So lets move on to teh good stuff!

I finally have projects to show off and more lines up to be finished tomorrow!

1st off we have my mothers day tea invitation I used my cttlebug on metalic paper for the bckground and I used my cricut with layered metalic papers to create the tea pots and the sentiment. I finally got to use my cricut design studio!!!! I have had it soooooooo long and have yet to be able to try it out and now I did and I love it!!!!! I so need to upgrade to the expression!!! lol I have decided with my new store/site going to be starting in the near future there are 2 things that I am going to work on saving up to buy one teh cricut expression...and a larger printer that can print 12x12 pages!!! anyway, we're moving on! lol

Next here are some mothersday cards I made for my hubby's mom, and 2 grandma's since I couldnt have them at the tea because the live too far away. and I finally got to use my bellas again!!! I havent used my bella's in soooooo long

Next I finally got to use one of my own new stamp images! yay for me! and I loved her! the lines are smooth and the girl is so sirene and i just love her big belly and the heart with her hands I really am very happy how she turned out and was super excited to play with her today

So I know I haven't been on my blog much lately but I have been a very busy bee! I was the team captain for our relay for life team, I have been painting wood signs for the Carmelite centers music festival this upcoming weekend, I have been planning a great mothers day tea, i had my 16 year old cousins confirmation and sweet 16 birthday, i had my 6 year old cousins birthday I mean it has been BUSY!! plus I am finally getting my shelving installed in my craft room and been doing some rearranging and organizing once it's down I can't wait to show it off to you guys! Also because of all the craziness my house was a pig sty!!!! so this weekend we started spring cleaning! I am about half done so Ill be done by end of this week, and we planted a little veggie garden in the little patch of dirt we have on out back patio (we live in a duplex) We planted tomatoes and jalapenos and Anaheim Chile's and another kind of Chile.

But amidst all that craziness I haven;t been crafting but I have been designing!!!
So yesterday I showed you the 1st launch designed by me at the DigiShack. and that is exclusive to them! they are the only place you can buy those images, so if you like 'em go and get 'em!

And today I wanted to show you some new images released over at Modern Sugar Blvd.! As I mentioned before I crossed over from PPS to MSB so you will see some of my old images over there as well, but the exciting stuff isn't the old images, it's the new images!!!! Ok all, I know I said I was going to post on sunday, but i had a tragedy happen on sat ...no not a death but still something very sad. I took my cousin to a movie in the morning to get her out of the house for her sweet 16 surprise party, and she was admiring my ring and was like did you just clean it its so sparkly today! so i took a look and boy was it sparkly!!! minus one spot! on of the 6 small diamonds that frame the large diamond was gone, broken off!!! AHHHHH!!!!! I was sooooo upset! and we have great warrenties on it no worries, He got it at Robbins Brothers! however the closest robbins brothers was an hour and a half away, and in order for the warrenties to be upheld you had to take it in every 6 months for a check up which i did but the didnt log anything in the computer unless they do work on it sooooo you have to keep this little piece of paper that they date and sign off each time.... (i moved around the time i last had it inspected and still have boxes of paperwork everywhere still needing to go through so like i knew where it was) luckily i found it in the glovebox of my car!!! and drove teh hour and a half each way to take it in today, and it will be ready on thursday!!!!

So needless to say my little drama took up some time and i didnt get to post yet sorry, but I am now!!!!

Ok my online friends out their in computer land I sincerely need some help! I have been wanting to open my own website/online store for a while now. As some of you may know I do some illustrating for some digi stamp lines for crafting, and I would really love to be able to feature some of these things and sell them on my own as well. But I have been sooooo afraid to commit to a name because I mean one I really want it to be great! and catchy! and something that will grow with me and I wont have to change. What I mean by grow with me is i want to start with digi stamps and papers and digi scrapbook kits all designed by me! yay! but then I want to eventually be able to sell other products as well papers adhesives other stamps etc. and then once my hubby and I can grow into a bigger home and if this business grow I'd like to have a workshop in my home (like a whole guesthouse designated for this) and I want it to be an open boutique where people can shop, but I can also host crops like coffe crops or wine tasting crops or cocktail night crops or afternoon tea crops etc I love themes I love parties and I so want to bring that to people where they can craft at the same time.

I thought about the Crafty Cafe or the Scrap Room, but I don't really know what to do?!?! ugggghhhh

So this is where it gets fun....for you that is.....I am opening this up to all of you wonderful people out their in computer land!

Oh I have been waiting and waiting for this!!! Counting down the hours, and deliberately postponing posting anything on my blog lately so I could hoard them up and show them off tonight!

So here it is!!! my Club Anya Blog Hop entries!!!!

Many of you know I am a HUGE fan of Joni's!!! and she totally inspires me all the time, but especially with her great and unique house magazine racks!!!! So I HAD to make some of my own! some of you remember the wixard of OZ onw I made a little while back well to keep with the fairytale esque theme I have going throughout my craft space I had to do little red riding hood and of course peter pan!!! I think little red needs a woolf in her upper wondow now that i look at this house so that will have to be a later addition, but same as the wizard of oz house i did the designer wood paper using Joni's technique. And the one I am most proud of and the one that I don;t think I will ever repeat again!!! lol is my london house with peter wendy and tink. I did the brick by scoring the pattern into a brick red paper and then distressing it with brick red ink and a hint of white ink as well. It looks great! and I am so proud of it but I will never do it again!!! lol. also on this house I designed layered shutters and layered steps by hand and I added fabric to the inside to give it some soft satin curtains! and as I look at it now I think I need a little something on the side, maybe a captain hook sneaking around the bend but a little element of surprise. But I worked so hard and though I though they were done before I looked at these pictures I had to share them with you now even if they may need a little something extra now.

Ok I know I am sooo far behind. I keep telling myself I amgoing to post and then go oh wait let me finish this project and then well I finish the project but don't post lol.

So today is a day of catching up!

So lets start with some Pink Papery Studios Creations.

There is a new up and coming line called around the town featuring these super cute little shops cars and houses! I could't just use one I had to use them all!!!! So I had this bucket that was plain and clear and has been crying out to be altered! so we had a challenge on march 18th called home sweet home and was asked to use the house image but this was so much better than just one image.

We also had a sketch challenge among us designers on march 11th using the rainy day image

We had another sketch challenge on march 25th and this is what I came up with for that one

Our april 1st challenge was a designers choice! which was sooo hard lol so I did 2 cards

Ok so thats PPS now onto other goodies at the last crfat fair I did my covered notebooks were my best sellers! so I had to replenish my stock and make a few more so I got the new wishes and dreams paper from creative memories and it is just stunning! and I had to cover one with it. I left a photo spot on the front so the purchaser could customize it themselves

Then I had found this great orchid paper! and didn;t know what to do with it and then I remembered I have geisha Anya Digi stamp!!!! so I blew her up and colored her to match and here we go

Then when I did the fairytale shadow boxes I also did some cards to match.

And then I recently bought the Hero set from The Greeting Farm...I love it!!! so I made these girly hero cards and I have some boy ones in the making too I'll show those when I am done

And nope no more pics for now, just some news. One, I bought the new never ever set the night it came out (midnight! lol) and I have some projects in the works I can't wait to show you!

Also I got an image swap in I had been waiting on so I have a little red riding hood project coming up too!!!

Oh the puppy is doing great!!!! she has gotten soooooo much better!!! still a little caugh but so playful and sweet!

I have a PPS challenge project I will be showing off later today featuring some new easter images set to be released in the store tonight!!!

and.... lol I have spent a lot of time creating a whole slew of new images!!!! we have a paperdoll/dressup kind of set! and we have a whole line of retro girls from different eras! and they are soooooooo stinkin' CUTE!!! so keep an eye out because I will be showing some sneak peaks very very soon!!!

Ok so I thought I was back and done with all the doggie drama but I was wrong. Our LeeLoo got sick and it got bad so since she doesnt live with us because we don't have the room she lives at my parents house or property well when she got sick we brought her to the house because we could keep a closer eye on her since my moms office is now at the house, that and we can keep her in the shed with a heater at night and lots of benefits to help her get better. Anyway I did take her to the vet monday morning and by monday night she was worse and tuesday too ughhh I think the vet hates me because I'm annoying and called like 5 times on tuesday asking all sorts of questions. So not only have we had to shove meds down her throat because she's been a stinker and spitting them out she wasnt eating or drinking so I had to take the canned food fingers full at a time and put it in her mouth well lastnight she ate on her own yay!!! but i still havent seen her drinking so I have also had to squirt pedialyte in her mouth so far we've done about 2 bottles a day thats not enough but better than nothing I guess and she likes licking ice cubes so we've been giving her ice. Tuesday I also started taking her temp she was at 104 which is a fever for a dog then yesterday afternoon it went down to 103.6 and lastnight i took it again and it was down to 103 so we are making progress and i know this dog hates me right now and thinks I'm the bad guy but we couldnt handle it if she dies too so right now I will whatever I have to to ensure she gets better! anyways so are you ready to see all these babies I've been telling you about?!?!?

oops I guess I should have flipped this image but anyways This is Daisy when we viewed her in the viewing kennel at the pound. she stuck her nose in my lap and under my butt so i stood up and she started to push her way through my legs so I walked off of her and she climbed in the chair lol we knew then she would fit in perfect with the other dogs lol my mom got Daisy to replace buddy who passed away on saturday night we don't have any pics of buddy sadly to say

when my mom picked out daisy my hubby fell in love with this dog but the pound was closing so we didnt have time to spend with her sooooo we came back tuesday to view her and he wanted her soooo bad so we adopted her and were able to pick her up wednesday the same time my mom picked up daisy. both of them had been fixed that day, and our dog (LeeLoo (from the 5th element)) was still sooooooo drugged!!! poor baby had no clue what was happening here she is when we got her out to my parents property she just layed in the shade and rested but isnt she the cutest!!!

So my dad had to go out of town thursday and friday so Chris and I decided to stay out at the property to keep an eye on the trailor and the dogs OMG 3 dogs!!!! (chow went back home her little feet couldnt handle the rocks) anyways feeding time was crazy!!!! I went out 1st one morning and was atatcked by 3 dogs jumping all over me! trying to get attention and looking for treats. soo feeding time here we have Belle.

and lastly here we brought LeeLoo to my parents house and took her to the vet. When chris got home we went back over for a visit and she was sleeping in a plastic chair (whats with these dogs and chairs) anyways it didnt seem very warm and with her being so sick so we had this bed mat sitting out there so we covered it with pool towels and Chris tucked her in lol and even took one of the squeeky stuffed toys and put it with her lol poor baby anyways thats all I have for now but maybe I'll try to take some more of LeeLoo today if she is doing any better

Hi everyone I am so sorry I have been absent on my blog for a while now. I have been crafting I promise! and I had 2 craft fairs in there too. My sales have greatly improved since the fall which is great! anyways it's been a tough week.
So last week we got 2 new dogs! (well my mom and dad did) they adopted them from the pound and wanted to have them as guard dogs for the property. but I think that plan back fired as they were the 2 sweetest playful loving dogs you could ever want! lol So there was a girl 8 month beautiful brown shepherd mix named Belle. She had been returned =( but she knows some commands and she is a great dog. Then there was Buddy a black and white some kinda mix too about a year old and he was sooooo excited when we brought him home! he was running around everywhere!!! and playing with the chow we already had and he was great! but he had a cold (kennel caugh I guess is what its more commonly known as) so the pound had given us meds so my mom had been trying to get him to take them...oh he was sooooo stubborn!!! lol he did not like the pills! and so he started to stay clear of my mom since she was the one who was always trying to force feed his meds down his throat. and he just seemed to be getting worse he wasn't so energetic or playful just layed around a lot and we knew poor buddy was just not feeling well, so my parents took him to the vet and they gave him some meds to help with the cough (the pound gave antibiotics) and they said it just takes time sometimes it can take up to 3 weeks for them to get rid of it. Well this weekend my dad decided he was going to take his RV out to the property and stay out there for a few weeks (mostly just stay the night) but bring the dogs so they would get used to it. and get used to us. but since buddy wasnt feeling well they left buddy at home and brought Chow and Belle (yes my chow's name is Chow Chow I know how original lol but when we found her my mom wouldnt let us name her because she didn't want us getting attached because we were the house that took in the strays (it followed me home mommy and found food on the front door step and stayed lol) anyways we always tried to find teh owners of the animals we took in and sometimes we did and sometimes we didn't and when we didn;t we usually kept them. there were a few cases where the animal needed more space or maybe didnt meld with our other animals in those cases we found them loving homes as we never would want to turn an animal into the pound.) anyways, chow and belle were going to stay out at the property so buddy could stay home and get better. Chow is older and well she's not really made for the property she's spoiled so she wont be staying out there full time the property is in the desert its fenced in and has some metal storage unitls and metal building on it and that is where my parents store all their stuff and well and where all the business's stuff is going to be now that they are moving out of the shop. the office is in their home but all the tools and parts and vehicles needed to go somewhere so thats why we needed dogs out there to keep an eye on the place. So saturday they took the RV out there got it set up got the 2 dogs out there Belle was having a blast running around everywhere! So sat night my hubby and I and my uncle and his wife and kids we all went out and had a BBQ with my mom and dad (my uncle has storage units on teh property as well so he shares concern about break ins because we have had anumber of breakins over the past few years) so we want the dogs to get used to him as well. so dinner was great and we all left my dad was going to stay by himself but my mom decided to stay the night. the next morning they went hom eto get ready for church and found buddy dead. We dont know how he died it was obviously related to him being sick. maybe since he was weak and thin he just couldn't fight it off we don't know but he passed away all alone with no one home to be with him and we hope it was peaceful and painless but we truthfully dont know and we feel so guilty because there wasnt anyone with him. and we had only just got him and barely gotten to know him and now we dont even have the chance. and what makes us so mad is we took the time and money to take him to the vet and get a second check up on him to make sure hewas going to be ok.
So sunday morning was hard. my dad took it the hardest for sure like i said we all felt so guilty for not bieng around. so my dad and and my husband took buddy back to the pound.

So yesterday my mom and me and my husband all went back to the pound to look for a new dog. it was sad and we felt guilty but we needed 2 dogs for the property. so my mom found i think another shepherd/mix (i'm not for sure i'll update you once we get her) anyways she is sweet she's a lot like belle so we thought they would be a good match. so my mom adopted her and can pick her up on wednesday her name is miss pebbles lol which is deffinately going to change lol she doesnt know her name anyways so we think it should be fine. we are thinking Daisy but have a few days to decide. Well and you have to understand my husband and I are such animal lovers honestly it is so hard for me to go to the pound because I want to bring them ALL home with me and if i had the space and the money I soooooo would!! well he saw a dog he just absolutely fell in love with!! So my dad had been encouraging us to get a dog too and we can keep it at the property as well. he figured if we had a dog there we would have to come visit more which we already would but he felt we would have a more personal investment. lol anyways its funny because Chris kept saying he wanted a boy and bla bla bla and the one he liked the most was a girl! lol anyways we were there close to closing and spent so much time picking my moms dog we didnt get to spend time with the one we want so we went back to take one last look at her and she is sweet and so pretty, and well one of the other dogs in the cage with her i guess got jealous of us giving her attention that it flipped and attacked her!!! viscously bitting and attacking her. at first she was calm about it and didnt fight back she was just trying to get the other dog to stop i think but when it wouldnt she started fighting back. (the ppro 3rd dog was caught in teh middle and just kept trying to stay out of the way) we tryed yelling and rattling the cage and the one dog would just not stop so i ran out side and was yelling hello anyone we need help no one was anywhere so i ran to the front office and was like there is a dog beating the shit out of the dog we want can you get someone out there, so she called someone and i ran back and my husband had found the hose and tried it but he turned it off not on lol so he had to go back to turn it on and then cam back and had to hose them to get them to stop and not talking a quck spirt that one dog just would not stop!!! so he had to keep hosing finally the guy came andwe had just gotten the dogs to stop and he removed the bad dog and put it in its own cage and the other 2 we felt so bad they were all wet =( and scared but it was closing time and we had to go but we are going back tonight to visit with her and if all goes well she will be ready for adoption on wednesday!! so I will give you some updates and some pics probably later this week or sometime early next week.
so that is my story and why I haven't been around also because my craft/computer room is in shambles! we are doing some rearranging! lol i had metal shelf unit in here we moved to the garage but not everything that was on I want in the garage. and we are getting a built in wood setup of cabinets and drawers and a shelf unit on top of it to organize everything so i have tons of stuff everywhere!!! lol but we should get the cabinets and stuff soon and it will all be back to normal!
well I have to hit the shower but I will try to come back and post some of the few projects I have done so you can see what I have been up to

Once upon a Time Shadow boxes

So I had never tried shadow boxes before but have been wanting to for a while now so I just got the SU build a fairtal punchout die cuts and I love them!!! So I had planned to use them on my wedding album since I did have a cinderella themed wedding but I decided I will have to order more for me later lol and I decided to try 2 shadow boxes for the craft fair this weekend.

So the first one here is all princess! girly and flowery fantasy fun! I did place a photomat for a Photo to be placed in. I tried to photograph different angles so you could see the depth and layering, also the wand and butterflies are on the outside of the glass

Next I wanted one that could be for boys too. so well the elements took more space than I wanted and no room for a pic, but it will make a great art piece for someones wall. the once upon a time wording is in chocolate vinyl on the exterior of the glass

Pink Papery Studios is having another release this Saturday!!! Are you excited yet.... No? oh well that must be because I haven't shown you any of the great new images that will be released..... well I guess we can easily remedy that! Here we go.....

Ok so a little while back I showed you this project as a test sample...well it is now officially one of the new digi stamps being released! here we have crafty amy! she sits at her craft table with her scents and shimmerits in front of her stamps and stamp pasd and paintrushes and pens. I zoomed in a cropped her so unfortunately you miss a few of those details but you'll get to see teh rest this saturday (of cehck out som eof teh other DT members blogs they are showing samples too!)

Next Yes this is another repeat I showed her off a little while back to help get some feedback and guess what?!?! She is now going to be another of our new Digi Stamps!!! Chatting up a storm on her cell phone

and one more repeat...this one I also showed you a little while back as a test run and she too will be joining the line up this weekend!!! we have out blushing bride here.

OK OK I know enough with the repeats you want some more new stuff right? lol ok well bhere we have one of our hot new sexy images this is our hunny bunny!!! She is a full image but I blew her up and cropped in to tone her down so she is sold as a whole image which you can use for something sexy for that special someone or maybe for a playboy themed party even, or you can crop her and make her a little more conservative. The saying I picked... well as cheesy as it sounds my hubby does call me hunny bunny lol so I thought it would be cute for his birthday (in sept lol ok so at least its done and made and I wont have to worry about it in september lol)

And the last one I have for you right now (because trust me there are more and I will be showing them off later today and tomorrow) we have our beach babe! and accessories set I layered torn paper for the dirt and sun and sky and i used the umbrella from the accessories set and placed it behind her and then I used the beach babe. I have 2 pics of the same card because the 1st shows the warmness of it in real light but its a bit fuzzy and the second shows all the detail

So thats it for now but Ill be posting more very soon!!! (there are like 10 or 12 images being released so there is lots to show!)

Another Anya Kind of Day

So I haven't been feeling well ever crafting has been ugh because I've been so sick so last night I finally got to create a Card!!! yay So I decided I would so the Miss Anya sketch Challenge that is going on right now

And dun dun duuun..... here is mine! Yesterday I got my SU order in...SOOOOOOOOO excited!!!!! They just put out a TON of great new stuff ( I don't sell SU I'm just stating the facts) The papers and stickers I used are from the Sweet nothings kit ... I love love love it!!so It only seemed fitting that I use it with my fav Anya image! little Miss Anya here is colored with Prismacolor marker for the skin and hair and and with shimmer it paints for all her clothing and accesories it has a great light coloring with loads of sparkle!

Next... I have seen these amazing Magazine holders by Joni and have been wanting to make some of my own! So I finally found one at my Michaels!!! yay! they had 3 alll were damaged but only 1 was super minor that I could easily fix and use it so I only go to buy one =( but we have another Michaels near by I am going to visit today! so If I can get more I will be a very happy camper =) anyways Since I say Joni's I've been wanting to do a Dorthy one and have the witches legs poking out from under the house! lol wouldnt that be fun?!?! so I did it!!!

So here we have the front. all the wood looking paper was created by me. The basket little ToTo is in was weaved with cold and orange ribbons, the curtains are paper pieces on teh inside of the box

Next we have a 3/4 view that shows you the legs sticking out, now I know it's not practical so they actually get placed upwards but it is fun for the photo, I also found little wooden picket fence pieces at Michaels that I painted white and attached down the side

And here is the side view it says there's no place like home on both sides but only this side has the witches legs the legs and feet were freehanded by me and cut out I colored the stockings on both sides of the paper though

Oh and before I forget! the other day I did spend a little time on a swap I am working on for the Club Anya group over on PCP its for a membership card swap so here is the front side of my membership cards (i'm making 10 identical ones) I still have to figure out the back but it's half way there!

Taken Advantage

Do you ever feel completely taken advantage of?
So here is the Deal I am a fashion Designer by trade and I am out of work at the moment the design industry is tight, so I have been trying to find anything really freelancing from home preferably but whatever I can to make some money. So this company contacted me met with me and wanted me to write them a proposal on what I was looking for etc so basically when I freelance I charge $20.00/hour minimum and if they want to take my designs and produce them and make money off of them they have to buy them at an addition cost per item and depending on the item determines the price so this guy gets back to me with this fancy offer he wants me to be some officer in his company overseeing the designers bla bla bla and that I am going to start with getting 800.00 a month plus a 300.00 a month gas allowance... bla bla bla (I'd only be working 2 to 3 days a week for them (per my requirements since I wasn't going to give all my time to a company I know nothing about and I wanted to be able to still look for more work) which if i work 2 8 hour days times by 4 weeks for that 800 a month that is only like 12.5 an hour which is waaaaaay under what I usually make ok so I was being extremely generous! and so here is the deal there was way more than enough work to do but they kept not sending me what I needed and when I sent them things for approvals etc it took me a week and a half of emails saying can I get an answer and then finally text messages of the same nature to get them to respond and they were like i thought you were at a stand still? hmmmmm yeah I was...because you didn't answer your dang emails!!!! and YOU didn't get me the information I asked for! uggggghhhhh so not only that my 1st pay still has yet to arrive and it should have arrived the 20th of feb so 11 days ago so needles to say i haven't sent anything else then yesterday I get an email saying my first check is on its way but his funding had be drastically cut and they need to halt on my work and he's unsure if its temporary or permanent bla bla bla does that feel like a scam or what! then the designer I was supposed to be working with emails me and says I know he said to halt but I can't remember why but we can still meet and bla bla bla...we were scheduled to meet to work and plan out the whole line up ...and you think I'm working for free and I still haven't been payed for what I did do...I don't think so! So I told them I am not sending/giving them anything until I am paid and then they can have the work I did (they only saw some samples) uggghhhh!!! I am so angry all that time wasted and I could have been finding a job else where!

So I have only just started getting into these challenges on all sorts of different sites, and this is my first time trying this Friday Sketchers challenge. you can check it out here. One I really liked this sketch and thought it would be fun, and two its being sponsored by The Greeting Farm which we all know I love right now! So here is the sketch its simple but great because there is so much you can do with it!

And here is my entry... ok I know the prize is for a miss anya collection stamp set which I already have but, one what are the chances of me winning I have yet to win anything, and 2 if i do win it its great to have back ups right? lol or give it as a gift to a good friend or something you never know so I would happily accept it anyways lol but here it is...isn't it cute!

So today was kind of a boring sunday there was tons of house work that I neglected and now I will have to do it tomorrow cause my house is a mess and well I can't handle it lol but today was nice the hubby and I went to church with my parents first thing this morn then spent the afternoon curled on the couch together just watching some TV and then we went to dinner at my sisters house (she just bought her 1st home with her hubby and was having a house warming party/dinner) then came home and got to finally sit and craft. So i did the challenge card above, and I wanted to give another try at happy chef Ian cause well I wasn't the most proud of my last one, and I think I like this one much much more! So here he is.

ok so as I am sure most of you have noticed recently I have fallen in love with these adorable stamps from the greeting farm! I just can't get enough of them!

So last week there was a challenge on th eClub anya blog called case the anya. The Challenge was to go through the greeting farms card gallery and case one of the creations submited by other crafters.

I found this amazing card by Jenn Muraoka

So here is the card I created and entered It was such a fun challenge/contest and I am really happy with how my card came out! So I also used her as one of my entries for applying to the Club Anya DT

This weeks craziness

ugh OK so I am sorry I haven't been too on top of my projects or posts this week...this cold has really taken it outta of me. That and my parents are moving their company from the shop the lease to their home (when the 1st started the company they did it from the home they had 3 car garage, and they turned one into a room which they made an office and the other 2 they used as a shop for the first few years, and as the company grew they moved out into a shop they were there a few years, then they moved to a new shop which they have been at for 10 years. well every 2 years they have to renew their lease and every year their price is increased (talk about greedy) so with the economy being as it is its been hard to keep a small family run business afloat (they do refrigeration heating and air conditioning) so they decided they don't want to lay off anyone, so instead they are sacrificing for now and moving the office to their house again, and all that was in the shop is getting moved to storage connex's out on my dads property (he bought a lot of land in the desert a couple miles from their house where he planned to build his own shop so to not have to rent from someone else but its expensive you have to drill a well and get power out there and put in a septic system etc and then build the building and well none of that is cheap so it isn't happening right away) so anyways all the shop stuff will get stored on the property and well they will run it like that for a while with hopes the economy will turn back sooner rather than later) so ever since the company moved out of the house that old office became a play room, a guest room a home office..you name it it's been used for it so needless to say we had to clear it out! well what happens with all that stuff well it goes up into mine and my sisters old bedrooms since we are both out on our own they are just guest rooms now but when we left we didn't take everything so we had to go through all that was left trash what we could, put in a garage sale pile what we could and what we were going to keep there consolidate it and store it away, so I have been having to do that, which I will happily do for my parents because I know they need the help and I love them.

Also yesterday was Ash Wednesday (yep I'm Catholic) so i had church in the middle of the day.

And I happend to get a new CM customer yay!

so yeah it's been a little crazy! but I'm going to upload some new pics right now! and maybe I can find the strength to do some new ones today and get those up tonight!

Ok I hate being sick! I have hardly been able to leave my couch or bed for 2 days now, and I feel so miserable that I don't even want to craft...and that is telling you something! lol

But I promised a preview of these soon to be released St. Patrick's Day Images didn't I?

So I killed 2 birds with one stone, on Wednesday we will announce next weeks challenge well I guess it won't hurt to be early on that. Next week's challenge is to make a shaker card! (well I've never made one before lol) but I thought I should give it a try, and I had this great clover confetti. So not only is it a preview of one of our soon to be released St. Patty's Day images, It's an intro to this upcoming Challenge.

Big announcement!!!

ok I feel like I'm five when I say this but I feel Ucky!
lol Starting sat morning I wake up and my throat feels all closed up and my ears and nose are clogged and just feel bla. So I did my favorite thing to do when I start to feel sick....I went to Jamba Juice!!! and got a cold buster, and a swear within a few hours I was feeling better yay!
So I had a Pajama crop planned with my family and friends from 4-midnight, so everyone came over we watched movies ate tons of junk food and scrapped for hours. luckily no one stayed until midnight lol which was good because by the end of the day I was feeling worse than I started (ugh) anyways, so Sunday morning...well I just did not want to get outta bed I was achy and sore and my nose and ears and throat were all worse! So I curled up on the couch with a big fluffy pillow and a big fuzzy blanket, a bottle of nyquil and a box of tissues. My hubbys Aunt and cousin came over to hang out for a while but they had been sick too so we had a house full of ucky sick-o's lol so Chris (my hubby) and his cousin watched guy kinda shows while I taught his aunt how to use the knifty knitter looms to make a scarf (our girly stuff) and then the boys wen out and got Jamba juice!!!! (can you tell I love me some jamba juice!) so hubby brought me back another coldbuster.
Well today...lets see its like 4:30 in the morning that I am starting this blog lol so that should tell ya something. Chris usually gets up for work just after 3 am and leaves for the train station just before 4 (he commutes into Los Angeles from where we are and takes the train so he doesn't have to worry about driving or traffic, he can hang out, read a book, or do what I think he does most....sleep lol) anyways I woke up a little but fell back asleep and after he leaves the cat (tahnee) usually goes crazy and starts making these crazy meows! I don;t know if it's because he leaves, or if it's one of the neighborhood strays that comes visit at the glass door all the time that she is talking to or if she's afraid that she was left alone so I usually call out to her and she'll come in and snuggle with me on the bed until I wake up at a more normal hour (usually 8) but instead I just got up my throat and mouth were so dries out and my nose and ears clogged I just couldn't stay in bed and do nothing, so today is all about Air bourne every couple hours to jam pack my system with vitamins! tons of tissues and nyquill and probably falling asleep on the couch lol

anyways, sorry for whining but I hate feeling sick! and whats worse than be sick might you ask? ....being sick and alone!!!! =( there's no one here to take care of me =( but I have my English Breakfast tea steeping mmmmm and a comfy couch.

I just wanted to stop in and say hi I am alive (in a manner) and I do have new projects to load up once I feel a little better, and I have a huge announcement!!!!

Pink Papery Studios is getting ready to release our St. Patty's Day Images!!!!! so through out this week check in on all our design team members for previews! (I'll posy mine later today hopefully) There will be 2 St. Patrick's Day specific Images coming to the public this Saturday the 28th!

Wait Wait Wait and that is not all! We will also be releasing a whole slew of new images the week after (march 7th)
This next release will definitely include Easter images!

And I can't tell you for sure what the others are, they may include some of the sneak peaks I have been showing off these past weeks such as a bride, a crafting Amy, and some teen images. And for those of you who like the sexy ones we may have a few for you too.... but like I said I can't tell yet but I think we are looking at almost 10 images that week! So definitely keep a look out!

A Miss Anya kinda day

Ok so I have been neglecting all my work all morning because I just had to make some more miss anya cards.
So I decided I better just load em up and be done for the day so I can get back to my real work i have to get some new stamp designs emailed off to amy, and I have a bunch of fashion sketches to get done as well, not to mention I have a huge pile of laundry to do and my kitchen is a mess!...busy busy busy

So I don't often place sentiments on my cards, and thats because I never know what I am going to use them for, or if I sell them at a craft fair you don;t know what people want to use them for, and by not placing sentiments on them I don;t have to make as many cards with the risk of not selling them. and I have decided at this upcoming craft fair I am going to offer free personalizations so i can add sentiments or flowers, or my fav... card scents! so anyways on to teh good stuff! ....maybe I'll use some of these to apply for the greeting farm DT...

So now...Back to work! (real work that is lol)

So it has been a busy day yesterday and today (more so yesterday) lol anyways I have been prepping for a craft fair so i have many new projects to show, We'll start with some fun ones then at the bottom we'll show off the naughty ones ;)

So I got the geisha anya digi stamp from th egreeting farm a while back but yet to find the prefect paper and sentiment to so with her. when I came across this paper by DCWV (yes it is from on eof the christmas stacks but is still very cute) I knew i had to put a geisha with it.

and this one well as pretty as she is she is not available yet. this is a test run of a possible upcoming Pink Papery studios image...what do you think of this pretty blushing bride?

and next well today was a great day! I only just ordered my miss anya stamps the other day when they were released and they already arrived today!!! I could hardly believe it! and I couldn't wait to make something with them!!! so this is my first of what I am sure will be many to come and well I thought it was about time to start on some st pattys day easter and spring cards, so what do you think?

and yesterday I was in the mood for some bubbly! a bubble bath that is. well I can;t quite take one in my tub yet =( but hopefully soon...anyways I thought I could live vicariously through my stamps.

Caution Adult Content Advisory!

lol Ok well it;s not as bad as it sounds its just a little naughty

So I bought My Favorite Things Twisted Sentiments stamp set way back before halloween and had yet to use them which makes me sad because I love them they are so funny!

So I knew I had to use them, and well I have neglected my bella's for a while so I thought I should bust them out as well.

And last but not least this weeks challenge project from Pink Papery Studios. This weeks challenge is to create a card for the boys. and to try and use either a doodle girl stamp or a between us girls stamp.

So here are 2 samples using the same PPS between us girls stamp with 2 different twisted sentiments showcased. I know they are simple but I wanted to keep them streamline and more masculine (as much as possible at least) and though they are girly I know my hubby will get a kick out of these

So I hope you will join in with us this week on the PPS challenge. Create a card for the boy or man in your life and try to use a doodlgirl image or a between us girls stamp set. If you dont have any of those sets it's alright we'de still love to see what you come up with try using any stamped image with the a femanin look/feel to it that meshed with the desired PPS images.

busy weekend

So it's been a busy weekend! Fri night was spent decorating a hall for a friends wedding (my mom has a business doing that sort of thing and I help)...Oh and I chopped off over 4 inches of my hair!!! I'll have to show pics soon but they are on my dads camera so I'll get those soon and post them. then saturday getting up getting ready and then doing the brides makeup, then having to steam the maid of honors dress and do her hair because she was unprepared and I wasn't even a part of the bridal party, my sis was a bridesmaid though. Then getting a gift and going home so my hubby and I could get changed and ready and then it was wedding time. the ceremony was fine the reception was beautiful, and it was very late by the time we got out of there because we had to take down all out table clothes and overlays and chaircovers and sashes etc...so happy valentines day to me lol....well we knew in advance so we planned our Vday for sunday. We were going to go to disneyland but due to the wheather being iffy lately (it rained and snowed last week and the next day would be sunny and hot) so with not knowing what the wheather was going to do and being dead tired we decided to spend the day at home and we will go to disneyland sometime soon. so we started the morning with champagne and breakfast and then went to my friends parents house to watch the newleyweds open all their gifts. ran a few errands and then came home and we made home made white pizza it was so good!!!!!

(in case you wanna know the recipe...)

I used the ready made pilsbury pizza dough, rolled it out on a greased pan. took a jar of alfredo sauce and just layed out a thin layer. Sprinkled a layer of mozerella, some big chunks of fresh garlic, layed out fresh spinich leaves, crumbled cooked bacon, another thin layer of mozerella, and little dollops of ricotta, a sprinkle of dried oregano, and dried parsley, and fresh parmesan cheese cooked til melted (9 mins in my oven) and Ta Da!!!! it was sooooooooo good and the hubby even liked teh spinach on it!

anyways so a nice romantic dinner at home with champagne and pizza and we watched some movies and i crafted and he played computer games lol (we're young can you tell? we're only 24)

anyways so here are some cards I made tonight. one is very similar to one a made a little while back but my mom bought the last one off me so here were some new ones to restock my invenotry and more.

PS The Greeting Farm is having a DT call out I am so excited I am deffinately going to apply! I soooooooooooo soooooooooooo soooooooooooooo hope I get on that would make may day!!!! you don't even know!!! so maybe one of these cards will be one of my submissions....maybe not I dunno yet I am going to wait to get my new miss anya stamps to create some with them before I send in my application...but wish me luck!

PPS Whiff of Joy also released those super cute mideival stamps this weekend!!! I haven;t ordered them yet but I am saving up so I can buy them all!!!

lol ok so what the heck am I talkinmg about well I bought the new Miss anya collection from the greeting farm!!! can't wait to get them!! I have yet to try their regular stamps so I am super excited (I love their digi images though!) but these ones were just released today! and are super cute! and I wish I could afford to just buy em all at once but one set at a time for now but yay they are mine now!! well when they arrive lol I hate waiting!!!! anyways I did make some thing stoday but sadly to say no time to take pics and upload them, today has been a busy day. I have a bridal shop here in town who's going to carry some of my cards on consignment and see how they do so cross your fingers! and I chopped off close to 5 inches of my hair today! hubby was sad he loves my hair long (not that its short now its just not long its medium lol) and a friend is getting married tomorrow and my mom and I did the decorating (one of my moms businesses is cahircovers and decor rentals etc) by the way it looks beautiful! I was in charge of the head table and the arch way and I will post pics soon I promise! and well I need to hit the hay cause I gotta get up early I'm doing the brides makeup tomorrow so I gotta prep and be ready so sadly to say goodnight and I probably wont have tim eto get on and post tomorrow so I will have to play some catch up on sunday.....and I tell you what on sunday I will have to give some sneaky peakies of some of our upcoming digi stamps for Pink Papery Studios, and a launch date! so if you can't wait to see what we've been working on check back sometime on sunday I dont know whan so maybe just check monday lol but you get what I'm trying to say.

The notebook

So it was a great movie and all though I have only seen it one and a half times lol it is not what is meant by the title, this post is all about notebooks and notpads.

This weeks PPS challenge is In the Pink! Jennifer suggested using pink bling in honor of Valentine's Day. Bonus points if you use them on a notebook or journal you create to highlight all those things you love (great idea Amy!) Try to challenge yourself by using a whimsy studio image, or a PPS valentines image. But if you don't have either please play along anyways! we'd love to see what you come up with.

Anyways, here is my contribution/sample for this weeks challenge.

This is just a standard composition book that I covered added a book marker ribbon to and decorated.
So here we are this pretty lady is wearing a chocolate brown dress blinged up with pink on her dress and earings. She is one of the new Valentines Digi images at Pink Papery Studios which is great because I was able to print her out as large as I needed for this project

I also scalloped the brown layer under the image (boy do i need to get nestabilities!!!lol PS it is a metalic brown cardstock so a little extra bling)
anyway, in each scallop there is a little pink bling
the heart she is holding is all glittered up!, and the hearts surrounding her are made with metalic pink and brown cardstocks

and to finish off the front I gave a little box to write in the name of the owner or maybe a little love note to the reciever, more metalic hearts layered, and of course more pink bling made into swirls (yeah they dont match great but i freehanded them)

and to finish off the insides I lined the inside with matching papers to the cover, and you can see the ribbon bookmark which is a different but matching ribbon to the one I used to disguise the seam on the cover, anyways a little journal box for a this book belongs to kind of thing or maybe if you put the name on the front this could be the little message to the reciever of the gift if you give it as a gift that is lol...and yes i know i need to do my nails lol

So this challenge was so much fun and I really hope you will join in. Now I mentioned notpads too didn't I?!?! hmmmmm well they are not part of the challenge but I still wanted to show them off.

So target had teh sweetest little post it note pads in there seasonal bins one has a frog prince, one has XOXO, one has a conversation heart candy, and one has a cupcake how sweet!!! so I made little covers/books to keep them in with velcro closures so here they are. The 2 with stamped images are images from the greeting farm which I am madly in love with right now, I have only purchased the digi images so far, and no these weren't my stamps I got it in a swap but after seeing how cute they are I will be getting a set of my own now! =) and the 2 without stamped images features DCWV sweet stack papers. so cute!

and this notepad was also from target (featuring that frog prince i mentioned) but obviously a larger pad, so I made it a covered notpad...well semi covered lol I loved teh little frog so much that I had to keep him out, so the ribbon closure is attached to the back of the book and the front flap and ties everything nicely closed and to ad to the cuteness we had to add lots of flowers and hearts the larger layered flowers each have a heart shaped brad in the center and teh smaller flowers each have a little pink rhinestone bling in the middles don't you just love it!

More Card Filers!!! lol Ok so if youdon't already know I have a craft fair coming up next month and I am trying to prep for it. So you are seeing a lot of projects come out I know.

But when I found this new way to make teh card filers I was stoked because it is soooooooo much easier!!!

So now we have another rockstar filer. This time we did pink! here is teh front view. (by the way the little shit tags you see hanging off it are my price tags for the craft fairs)

Next I had to do something a little more girly, So I have pretty head rachel from the greeting farm on my stylista card filer.

and here is the side and back....I think I may cut out the word stylista or fashionista or something like that and put it on the back so it isn't so plain, but my sis is borrowing my cricut so I have to get that back from her first.

and the day is still not over so you might be seeing even more later tonight but for now i think Im done and i'm going to go take a break and do some house work...yuck!

Getting excited1

ok as I mentioned before I have never tried Whiff of joy, but they are sooooooo cute and I am super excited for this new launch they are getting ready to release! i will deffinately be getting them all!!! anywasy I wanted to help them spread the word, so I wanted to share with you some of the preview projects their design team is showing off. Boosom Buddies and more

Ok so I had seen these bra and thong cards or bikini cards etc before and always wanted to try one so today I finally did! I did it a little different because of how I had ribbons and fabric wrapping around the back of the boosom part I decided to place it on a normal rectangle card instead of doing it as a shaped card as I had often seen it used, but I think the effect is close enough!

So these can be used for bossom buddy cards, support cards, Bachelorette or girls night out kind of cards or maybe even a card for the bachelor or a sexy little card for the hubby/segnificant other.

So this one is oh so sexy in zebra print and red satin

And a coordinating thong one with a little tatoo on the booty

This was more elegant for that blushing bride to be for a shower card or a bachelorette card something to give a little smile

and Oh La La how about some boa feathers! ok so this is supposed to be a starpless nighty kinda appeal but without straps it kinda looks like booty cleavage lol, so I will be adding the straps to it to complete it off or maybe a necklace

And then as promised, some Pink Papery Studios projects....but here's the catch

these aren't PPs images...yet these are ideas we are playing with and we are not sure yet what we are going to do with them

This first covered composition book has a sweet teen chatting it up on her cell phone.

Next this girl is our Amy, the ownder of Pink Papery studios.Though the image is cropped she is seated at a table full of card scents, stamps and shimmer it paints. We are thinking of using her as out logo girl, but would you want to see her in our stamp line too? do you like our digi options, or would you rather good old fashioned rubber stamps? what do you think? your input is always valued and we love to hear what you have to say so drop a line and let me know whats on your mind.

Whiff of Joy Medieval release

Oh my goodness!!! I just saw the cutest thing ever!!!! Ok I like whiff of joy but have yet to get any because well I dont have any kids to give my cards to just lots of young adults so I tend to go for a little bit sexier style, but I love me some fairytales! you couldn't imagine what a huge Disney/Princess/Fairytale fan I am!!!

So Whiff of joy is about to release a whole set of magically fun stamps! and I will deffinately be ordering them just based on the few previews I saw. you should check them out too!

TGF Valentines Challenge

So this past week I entered a card into the Greeting Farms Valentines Day challenge. The Challenge was to make a Card and to post a Rhym or Poem to go with it.

So this was teh card that I posted

And what I wrote as its description and my rhym was...

Ok So I know this may sound sad or depressing but it truely is not meant to be.My grandmother and Grandfather were married on Valentines day. About 5 or 6 years ago we celebrated their 50th anniversary, and then a few years later my grandfather passed away, which was and still is very hard on my grandma. Every year on their anniversary, on Valentines day my grandpa would send my grandma red roses no matter what, even when he was in the military and over in Korea he didn't miss and the 1st one without him was so hard so my mom and her 3 sisters took it upon them to send her her roses on valentines day. Anyways this Valentine is in dedication of my grandparents. The gold heart symbolizes the milestone of 50 years of marriage (and more)and the paper is SU bella rose to represent the red roses my grandfather always sent without fail, and the characters here are colored to represent them as young sweethearts. Though my grandma is still alive her health ahs begun to give her trouble, and not I think she is going to pass anytime soon you never know what and when things will happen. like my pappy when he got sick it came on quick and before we even made it out to PA to visit him he was gone.

My little rhym is simple and sweet,

No better lovers you'll ever meet.

50 years plus of wedded bliss,

celebrated with every kiss.

A memory held deep and true

A million and one I love you's

Together again they will be

In heaven for all eternity.

Pretty Head Rachel

So I was stoked to find out a new pretty Head girl was released at the greeting farm! and I loved the first so I had to buy the second! so I bought her and the 50's sweethearts. I haven't had a chance to play with the 50's sweethearts yet but i had to play with rachel! I decided to do a covered composition book with the SU bella rose papers so she of course had to be a red head. I dont know why I love doing red heads, maybe its partially because I am a redhead, or maybe its because I love the little mermaid or maybe its because reds are so bright and fun to color with! Whatever the case may be the red looks great with the greens and browns and rose prints in the paper set.

Here is the full front view of the composition book. There is brown ribbon trimming out the spine, I added some flowers in her hair to coordinate with the motief of the paper

So I was on SCS and I found a great tutorial for this crad filer! I've done other versions of card filers but none as easy as this one! check out this blog for a great video tutorial.

These were done by myself, I had some layout issues trying to get the buttons (I used bling) so 3 tries later I finally got the layout to fit! thats what I get for using images that are too large

So here is another project for the craft fair. I bought 4 two year planner undated calendars and figured i could dress them up and sell them as well. so here is the first of the 4.

First I had to add a cute book marker ribbon because i hate that you can never find your spot quickly

2nd is teh front cover. accesnted with a ribbon and a metal frame with label. and a cute little bella to match the great teal, purple and chocolate colors.

and lastly is the back view the ribbon trim flows all the way around some cute flourishes and another bella to express the stresses of everyday life lol

Eco Girl/Going Green

So a while back I found these great notepads at target. So I decided to turn them into wall plaques. They have aribbon hanger at the top so they can hang on a wall or cork board, but they also have magnets at the back so you can hang them on the fridge or magnetic white board or chalk board...so i dont have any small cute magnets to hold the ribbon up sorry , but I had to use something to hold the ribbon out of the way. So these will be for sale at the march craft fair, and I think I will sell the 1st one for $7 and the 2nd one for $10 (because of all the bling and primas)
